the project for Saturday was to return the regular mugs to the cupboard and put away the Christmas/holiday ones…
first thing I did was go into the office to get the boxes out from under the dresser…
and they weren’t there… even got down on my knees to be sure…
kind of freaked out wondering if I had accidentally put them in the giveaway pile which had gone out before the holidays;-(…
looked in the basement, kitchen and all over the messy computer room again… then I checked in the den closet and there they sat… clearly I put them in there knowing they would end up upstairs, but thinking I would save some steps when it came time to repack them…
whew… that got the blood pumping, lol…
didn’t take too long to get them changed over and looking good…
they sat on the stairway and then made it upstairs to wait for next Christmas…
and they will go to the spot I expect them to be…
in the dresser, in the office closet, not underneath it, with a label on the front🤪…
I was watching tv and all of a sudden decided I needed to dig out the Christmas mugs… they haven’t been used for a few years as they were at the bottom of the overflowing closet in the computer room…
so I spent a couple of hours purging…
got down to the mugs, ran them through the dishwasher and changed them out for the current mugs…
in the process, I gathered up six or eight boxes of goodies for the giveaway pile, including two boxes of mugs…
way to go me, lol…
although there are still items all over the room that need to be dealt with…
I have a shelf in a kitchen cupboard where my mugs go…
a few taller ones go on the shelf above…
the goal is that when I get a new one I have to give one away…
over Christmas I have accumulated three new mugs, two as gifts and one that I picked up at the Assiniboine Park WildThings Gift Shop…
very happy that I was able to take out four mugs to put in the pass-me-over box…
while having tea with a friend today we discussed how much she loves my mugs… we decided that, as it gets more difficult to let a mug go, I shall pass it along to her, knowing the mug will be loved, lol…
very happy to have Shadow’s proper tires on… my son-in-law came by the office this morning, picked her up, took her home, and removed the winter tires… she looks so pretty with her sporty ones… now she needs a bath… maybe next week…
at lunch I went for a short walk, to catch pokeballs, and stopped in at the Millennium Library gift shop…
I can always find something to buy there… today it was two McIntosh loon mugs… they are Robert Bateman designs… I love his art…
wrote about the last McIntosh mugs I bought a while back…
had a bit of a giggle tonight when I realized they are meant for right handed people… the loons are located on the mug so when I’m holding it I won’t see them… someone suggested I take selfies and then I could see the loon in the picture, lol…
been a while since I’ve had to deal with my handedness… most things are automatic and I don’t even realize I’m making adjustments to deal with the item/situation…
a couple of weeks ago I picked up a set of four Rob McIntoshmugs…
I had bought these same ones about six months ago for my daughter who lives in Ottawa … had to wait quite a while for someone to take them to her… decided I really liked them, but when I went back they didn’t have any…
when I found them the other day I was very happy… I kept one at the office for me…
shared one with a colleague…
and brought the other two home for my collection…
was very proud of myself when I managed to reduce my collection by two, to make way for the new ones…
very happy that both of these were adopted by friends… one sent me a note saying she was enjoying her morning coffee in it and thinking of me:-)…
I have a wide variety of mugs and when people are over I have them choose the mug they would like to use for their coffee, tea or hot chocolate… bit of a tradition here…
