this morning had a great walk to the Park…

on my way saw a bunny and a gaggle of geese… crossed the street so as not to disturb them… was a bit of a surprise to see them on a sidewalk, but maybe they were checking out the Little Library, lol…

crossing the walking bridge I spotted a brief of pelicans… I think there were nine in total and there was a cormorant with them… it was clearly preening time…

my camera battery quit midway through my walk so I took the rest of the photos with my iPhone… it always makes me giggle when it announces that it is exhausted, lol…

today I seemed to lean toward white…

although I did focus on a few frogs, lol…

a much less crowded visit than the one on Sunday… the one sad thing was that our bench was being watered so I couldn’t sit…

ended the visit checking out the ducks and geese at the Riley Family Duck Pond…

had a fun time in the garden this morning…

when I walked out I frightened the baby bunny, but it came back a bit later for a snack…

and then the squirrels started running around… one was digging in the hibiscus pot… not sure what was going on, but went over and encouraged it to leave, lol…

a gray squirrel and a little red squirrel chased one another all around the garden to decide who got to be at the feeder… the red squirrel won that particular round…

the sparrows were in and out of the pond as they had drinks and baths…

and I spent the longest time waiting patiently for a black swallowtail butterfly, that was flitting around the garden, to land so that I could take a photo… eventually I got a few good shots…

two or three cabbage butterflies fly through the garden on a regular basis, but I’ve yet to catch one sitting still long enough to get a picture…

spent the morning in the garden enjoying the show…

there were sparrows – clay coloured, house, chipping, maybe others as they can be hard to identify sometimes… along with purple finches…

they don’t really play that well together but eventually the finches seemed to accept the sparrows being at the feeder at the same time as them…

I took a great video, but haven’t quite figured out how I can post one here, lol…

dozens of the sparrows flitted about the garden… on the furniture, various decks, garage roof, at the feeder and drinking at the pond…

what a lovely time I had enjoying the activity…

and just now the teeniest bunny ran by about five feet from me… wasn’t fast enough to catch a photo, but what a cutie…

time in the garden is rejuvenating…

last night met with my friends on the deck… although the temperature was in the 30s, there was a gentle breeze blowing which made us very comfortable…

the purple finch family were back at the bird feeder, and chased off a squirrel…

we watched a huge yellow moon rising while we visited;-)… I didn’t get any photos, just enjoyed the view…

later in the evening I spent some time back on the deck with my camera and tripod getting some pictures of the nearly full moon…

I am always amazed at how quickly the moon moves when you are taking pictures…

after all was said and done, this is my favourite photo…

my new camera is supposed to let me use my phone to click the shutter, but for some reason it just won’t work… hoping to find a way to get that option working and maybe take crisper pics…

out and about today…

this morning caught a few shots of the CMHR as we were driving by…

I’ve tried many times to get a good photo of this building but still haven’t taken one that really makes me happy…

while I was waiting for my supper to cook, I got a few photos of this squirrel… it has taken a fancy to the rain barrel and I’ve spotted it quite a few times but this was the first time I got a picture…

this morning I walked around the garden to get a few photos of the daisies that had opened overnight…

and I discovered this wasp (I think)… it was sitting on the daisy and not moving… I took a number of photos and then started to wonder if it was alive…

as I took the last two photos I could see it breathing, so was really happy…

I am rather pleased with this photo because it has not been altered at all;-)…

today I had an eye appointment… good news is that my eyes are looking great… not so good news is that I probably need to consider new glasses… had to wait for a while to see my eye doctor…

spent a few minutes waiting by Sargent Sundae…

then met a friend and we went for lunch at the Park Café and a walk around the English Garden… it was overcast and a bit windy, but it was nice to be outdoors…

one of my favourite photos from our time in the Garden… I’m always looking for flowers and frogs in the ponds, lol…

early this morning watered all the plants in the garden with a bucket… it meant that I got lots of steps in and did a bit of weight training, lol…

summer is nearly upon us…

so enjoy the time to wander around the space and enjoy the beauty…

morning is my best time… by the end of the day I am often just interested in vegging out in front of the tv…

the clematis is growing beautifully…

I’ve been taking photos when I leave the garage to record how quickly it is climbing…

these ones started on June 5th… they go clockwise and end yesterday when I saw the two buds getting ready to bloom…

the plant is much fuller than last year… my beloved and I planted this one…

busy day as I researched and decided on which version of iPhone X I would upgrade to…

walked up and down Polo Park a few times as I checked out the various options…

one of the things I was most interested in was the quality of the camera, as I take many photos…

also, size of the phone was important… I didn’t want something too large for my hand and that would feel uncomfortable…

and then there was the issue of the case… I have the most wonderful case now, but it isn’t available for an iPhone X…

I want something that doesn’t cover the front of the phone as I do take so many photos…

in the end I chose the iPhone X and purchased it from The Source… picked up a Huawei tablet and a Kate Spade cover…

I also found a case that holds a few credit cards… not sure yet which case I will use most, lol…

then I came home and figured out how to move my data from the old to the new…

even got the tablet working with all the apps I use… it will be fun to learn the android system…

looking forward to playing with these new toys;-)…
