visited Shelmerdine to pick up their special ornament for this year…

in previous years I had got a beautiful porcelain dove and one year I got the beautiful heart for some of my friends;-)…

the one for this year is holly leaves and berries in silver metal…

a friend had picked me up to go and afterwards we went out for lunch… I had bruschetta and it was very tasty…

then it was home for a nap, lol…

such a lovely treat…

thanks to a suggestion from a friend, we picked up some porcelain filler for the stove and basement pedestal sink…

after sanding, painting, re-sanding, and drying a number of times, the stove looks great… can’t spot the fix unless you get real close and know where to look…

sadly, I forgot to get a before picture…

the sink is taking a bit more time…

but coming along nicely…

a few weeks ago I picked up some new knives… they are a bit heavier that the old ones… put them up onto the IKEA magnet beside the stove…

the first day I cut myself as one slid down the magnet and I caught it…

and a few days ago, the same one slid down and landed on the stove…

I was so happy to see that the glass top of the stove didn’t crack…

but then I realized that the end of the knife put two chips in the porcelain…

every time I look at the stove I wonder what is on it, before remembering that these are the chips, lol…

going to have to have someone come and fill them up…
