this morning I was rather surprised by how much snow had fallen overnight…
when I opened the back door there was easily six inches of snow up against it… I figured it had just drifted and when I stepped over it there was six inches of snow on the deck and all the way to the garage…
when I opened the big door there was four or five inches… I walked along the driveway to see how deep the snow was and decided that I might not be able to get the car out…
back inside and called a cab… didn’t want to get stuck at the bottom of the driveway…
but it sure was pretty, lol…
was able to get a ride home with a colleague and walked from the end of the street to be sure she didn’t get stuck…
there was even more snow when I walked up the driveway… snow pants would have been helpful, lol…
the steps and sidewalk were completely covered…
my shoveler isn’t available tonight, but will be here at 7:30 am so that I can get out in time for work…
spent a few hours at work and the little boys met me there…
we went to the Zoo for the afternoon… had a wonderful time… focussed on the Journey to Churchill… saw most of the bears and got to sit beside Hudson for a few minutes…
the boys were amazing and we had tons of fun…
came home and met up with mom and the biggest boy…
lots of cuddles…
they left and I had a nap and watched tv for a while until a friend stopped by… we have been having such fun…
when I woke up this morning I heard scraping outside… couldn’t figure out what it was… once I know what the sound is, I can ignore it, but when I can’t figure it out it makes me a bit crazy…
looked out the window and saw this…
pretty isn’t it… fresh snow always looks wonderful… particularly if you don’t have to go out…
once I got downstairs I checked out the hibiscus which has three flowers and lots of buds…
I did go out to the grocery store and the pet store… the driving was fine…
tonight Jeff changed the filters and hopefully the water will clear up…
this afternoon I was wishing I had some flowers for tomorrow’s Easter dinner…
not an hour later my nephew stopped by with a lovely orchid for my birthday from he and his mom…
she and I had a lovely conversation earlier in the day… we don’t see each other often as she is living in the West…
got to sit on the deck for a while before the sun went behind the clouds and spent time preparing for tomorrow’s dinner… stuffing is done and the potatoes are peeled…
tried to find a pedometer online and over the phone, as we are starting a walking contest at work on Tuesday… no luck yet, but hope to get one on Monday…
took care of a few chores around the house and watched tv…
more melting outside…
sure hope the Easter bunny stops by before the kids arrive tomorrow, lol…
was always George’s job to make sure the bunny had been… last year I wasn’t able to deal with it, but this year I will check in the morning to see if the bunny came… hope we get mini eggs…
