on some of the colder days, I’ve been wrapping up in a blanket when I sit and read in the living room…
Ive been using the crocheted one that I made a few years ago and just recently found a post telling me that I finished it two years ago on February 7, 2021…
it is very cozy and I enjoy using it…

put out a heart on the front door yesterday to celebrate Valentine’s Day…
then I shovelled the bottom third of the driveway…
a bit skinny, but I think a car would fit there, lol…

to make cleaning easier I always put most of the items on the bedside table into the drawer before the cleaners arrive…
after they leave I bring the items back out…
I absolutely love the amethyst heart that I purchased for my birthday when we were in Hawaii…
it sits at the edge of the Google Display and makes me smile every time I see it;-)…
took it downstairs into the sunlight to get a good photo before returning it back to its spot;-)…

enjoyed the aquasize class although I lost a quarter when the key wouldn’t come out of the slot, lol…
the new gloves really do work well, although they caught on the rail as I was getting out of the pool…
next time I will take them off before I get to the stairs… but they sure look great with my water shoes;-)…

yesterday my new swim gloves arrived…
and they happen to be purple;-)…
our instructor recommends them as essential gear… can’t wait to try them out later in the week…

I wasn’t expecting to get up early, but apparently my body remembers previous Christmas mornings, lol… although it was 6:47 am when I woke up, for many years it was often around 4… and I would eventually start banging pots in the kitchen to encourage all of the sleepers to wake up…
around 7:30 I got up, made breakfast and then read for a while in the living room enjoying the tree lights…
there were matching pyjamas, calls, texts, visits and naps throughout the day… the naps may have had something to do with the 6:47 wake-up, lol…
spaced amongst all of that were relaxing dinner preparations… beautiful mashed potatoes, delicious stuffing and tasty gravy went perfectly with chicken, turnip, ham, and previously homemade cranberry sauce…
I was absolutely spoiled with a myriad of wonderful gifts…
a lovely day… amazingly blessed, as always…

had some fun this morning… after going out and shovelling the droppings from the city snow plows…
been planning to colour the letters for these chocolate ornaments that I received from Happy Mail for Chocolate Lovers…
finally got around to it… sadly there was no purple in the paintbox🤪…
I am pleased with how they came out… I used some of my gifts from last year in a slightly different way and enjoyed the time…
now they are on the tree…

had a lovely visit with my neighbour…
she brought over a cute purple tray filled with delightful homemade goodies…
she makes a number of cookie trays for family and usually puts them on red trays, but had to go out and find a purple one for me😊… what a sweetie…
we usually meet for a little glass of something in the garden, lol, so it was good to get together in the house…
we snacked, chatted and had lots of laughs… and there are still some of the goodies left for me to eat and share🤭…

I received a box of individually wrapped pieces of chocolate in the mail to fill my Advent calendar…
was very happy and quick to pop one into each of the twenty four squares in the box… and there are two on the last day so that I can enjoy one on Christmas Day;-)…
now to wait for tomorrow, when I get to open the first one;-)…

the trees made their way up the stairway…
found the box and had some fun placing them…
have one that needs to be plugged in, so I need to figure out how to get it connected…
the rest look great… Facebook told me I had done the same thing on this date two years ago… and I was thinking it was kind of early, lol…
a final few went onto a table by the front door… these include a few that my beloved made many years ago…
I like how they look, and they are connected to Google;-)…
