Wednesday is the day I water my plants… I have quite a few, lol…

I combine tap water with some banana skin water and wander around the living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and den, with constant trips to the kitchen to refill the watering can…

I have had this watering can forever and have repaired the handle a few times as I enjoy the feel of this one…

seeing all of the blooms on the African violets and orchids, and the lovely purple anthurium blossom brings me so much happiness and makes me smile…

and currently, there are the seedlings that need attention as well…

it is quite a meditative experience and I enjoy the weekly time spent doing this…

my sofa had a blanket on it for most of the winter…

when the weather changed, I used the back of the handmade quilt produced by my friends on it…

the reason for the covering involves two pillows I have put on the sofa so that it isn’t so deep…

now I’ve used two pillowcases and pinned them to the back cushions…

think I like it…

Wednesday was the day… I took the bouquet that came twelve days ago and separated it into three different arrangements…

the roses have been gone for quite a while but the remainder were doing quite well…

the biggest problem had been getting the water into it as the foam really filled up the top so there wasn’t room to easily add water…

started with designing this first arrangement in an oval shaped vase… it came out nicely I think… it is going upstairs into the bedroom…

there were so many greens that I filled another small container with them and added two of the carnations… this one has gone into the bathroom…

finally, the mums and a couple of daisies went into a very small bottle and were put in the den…

so that meant that the orchid collection has returned to the living room table…

flowers everywhere;-)…

got a call from the florist Friday, advising they had a delivery for me…

not long after, the doorbell rang and a parcel was handed to me…

when I removed the packaging, I found a beautiful purple vase filled with flowers… what a treat…

they were from the kids in Ottawa… to celebrate my beloved… today will mark eleven years since he left us…

time has flown by and barely moved…

I am going to enjoy these beautiful flowers and take many, many, photos of them as I remember all the wonderful times we had together…

I have been, and continue to be, blessed…

happy that I finally got a nice photo of the cute new little white orchids…

have had the plant for a few weeks now, but just couldn’t get a nice shot of a single bloom…

looks cute on the living room table along with the other new orchid and two little grape hyacinths which have just started to scent the air;-)…

and the new display in the table looks nice as well… some of my rock collection from Goose Spit with a few crystals thrown in;-)…
