it was certainly worthwhile to get up at 3:15 am on Tuesday morning…
short track speed skating was on… after I watched the 1000 metre men’s qualifying heats, the mixed team relays were on…
and we got a silver medal;-)…
I’ve been enjoying my attempts to get half-decent photos… those athletes are all very quick, lol…

was reminded of how blessed I am…
once a month cleaners come to give the house a once over..
when I walked into the bedroom after they left I laughed at how lovely the bed looked…
they took all of the cushions in the room and placed them on the bed;-)…

attended an interesting seminar recently…
it was about dementia and I learned so much…
it was presented by the Alzheimer’s Society…
looking forward to receiving the power point deck to help me remember more of the information they shared with us;-)…

on Saturday afternoon, we went to our PTE play, Big Stuff…
as we park underground we always leave our coats in the car which makes sitting in the theatre more comfortable…
as we entered the theatre we were given a card with a pencil in it… most people did respond and the actors collected all of them and dumped them into a couple of boxes…
throughout the performance they connected with some of the people who had responded on the cards…
it was quite delightful and one of our favourite shows;-)…

I don’t think I’ve driven at all this winter…
since the snow started, I have been relying on my housemate and Uber to get me where I need to go… and my adventure buddy who always does the driving (yay to her!)…
my newest process is to volunteer at The Leaf from three until six… that way I can Uber there and my housemate can pick me up… seems to be working quite well…
recently I had a ride in a Tesla, which had the entire roof made of glass… I knew how to get in, from a previous encounter, although the driver automatically opened the door, but it took a while to figure out how to open the door from the inside to exit at my destination, lol……
I was thinking how cool it would be to drive out of the city and watch the stars or the aurora in comfort from the back seat without having to leave the vehicle, lol…

so the other day, as I was sitting in the living room, I spotted a drone lift off from a car which stopped in the lane across the way…
it flew right over the house and didn’t return to the car for at least fifteen minutes…
I’m guessing it was doing some shots for a real estate video…
I couldn’t catch it on video but got a few photos of it coming down to land on the top of the vehicle…
I drew circles around it, lol… the brush behind it certainly didn’t help make it visible…

we were looking for brown sugar and somehow decided to tidy the cupboards, duh…
everything came down, quite a few rather old items were discarded, and the remaining containers went back in…
then we headed to the grocery store and while we were there, found a couple of revolving trays and new spice jars…
once we were done putting groceries away, we added the trays, which of course meant taking all of the containers out again…
it is going to be so much easier to find the item I am looking for now…
then, we got out the label maker, which I am still learning how to use, and made labels as we filled the jars that would fit in the two spice racks…
now we are working on alphabetizing them;-)…
such fun, but we were both exhausted…

was picked up by a friend and we headed to the Park Cafe for brunch…
I had seen a new January offering they had, and wanted to try it out…
the place was jumping when we arrived, but we had a great visit while we waited to be seated, which took less than ten minutes;-)…
we both ordered the special – maple pecan stuffed french toast – and hoped it would look as good as the picture, lol… and it did…
aaaaand… it was delicious and we both devoured the whole thing;-)… what a lovely treat…

I ordered and received a skein of cotton and a fancy crochet hook last week…
since then I’ve tried to make a circle or square without success…
the plan is to make dishcloths for the kitchen, lol…
now I am making straight rows and hoping that will work… the good news is they don’t need to be perfect 🤩…
