woke up this morning thinking of my beloved… he’s been gone for seven and a half years, and I miss him every day…

I try not to use the same photos in more than one medium, but this is one of my favourites, so I am sharing it broadly…

he would have been 71… in his honour I made bacon and eggs over easy for breakfast, lol…

put on a purple plaid shirt and jeans… he was always in jeans and had a favourite plaid shirt that he often wore…

after a busy day, my grandson met me at work, we ran a few errands and had dinner out…

ended our meal with apple crisp and ice cream… my beloved made the best apple pie;-)…

lovely day filled with happy memories…

busy but productive day…

started with an early morning meeting to do some work on a program that I am looking forward to learning more about… was great to catch up with the other two participants… we had some lovely snacks while we worked…

once that was done, I was picked up by a good friend and we headed to PTE…

on the way we stopped for bread and had lunch at the Pho Hoang… not sure why I look at the menu, because I always choose the steak and brisket pho, lol…

had leftovers to bring home for tomorrow…

we enjoyed The Wedding Party… amazing what 6 people can do;-)…

home to take it easy for the evening;-)…

fun day with my grandsons…

met the three of them for dimsum… we haven’t been for ages so it was a great treat… felt a bit sad that their daddy was working so couldn’t come because he had mentioned it just last week, lol…

from there the youngest and I ran a few errands… we picked up fish food, birdseed and a few groceries… we also found a wreath for the front door;-)…

once we got home we put everything away and then he filled the reindeer Advent calendar with chocolate covered raisins… that was a lot of fun, and every drawer is jam packed…

we made nachos with bacon for supper and watched a few episodes of the Holiday Baking Championship…

his big brother came and picked him up and I am recovering in front of the tv;-)…

the other day I took the lid off the thermos, after the tea had steeped, to take out the tea bag…

I accidentally dropped the lid into the mug, waiting to be filled, that was beside it…

fell right into it and I wasn’t worried…

when I tried to extricate it from the mug it would not release…

I worked away at it for fifteen minutes before it finally came out…

phew…

great day at the office yesterday… triple treats…

arrived to find a gift at my desk… a remedy from Sage…

it was Souper day and we had a tasty lentil soup with delicious sides provided by those who didn’t make the soup…

and topped off the day with a collection of doughnuts… I only had 2 quarters;-)…

somewhere I have a couple of boxes filled with Halloween decorations…

for the life of me, can’t find them…

so, this year there are two pumpkins, two witches’ hats, a cape and a skeleton to decorate, lol…

but a friend is over… we picked up Za Pizza for supper, and we have goodies to give out…

quiet day today…

went and got a hair cut…

topped up the hot tub, trimmed some Virginia creeper and took a few pictures in the garden of the last few blooming plants…

made an appointment for a pedicure with a friend next week and finished the turkey soup…

enjoyed it with some of Mom’s dumplings…

recently had a wonderful afternoon with my grandson…

he picked me up and took me to vote at the advance poll… then we went out for sushi and a visit to what is becoming our favourite fish store…

from there it was on to Costco, where everyone in St. James appeared to have decided to go at the same time as us, lol…

home and he helped put everything away, including all of the items that needed to go downstairs…

then it was off home to make supper for his siblings…
