started one of the sticker pages in my book… and worked on it between tasks in the kitchen…

I chose the dandelion because as I sat in the garden yesterday the fluff from the cottonwoods made it look like it was snowing…

not sure where the tree or trees are, but they sure are producing a lot of fluff, lol…

when I look out the front window it would be easy to imagine that it is the seeds from the dandelions…

very happy that my order from Chapters/Indigo arrived yesterday…

I did laugh a bit when I realized I had ordered two of one of them… good that it was on sale, sigh… should have used the computer instead of my phone to place the order… I left the extra one out of the photo and plan to see if one of my friends would like it;-)…

the books will sit on the dining room table for a few days before I take them out one by one as I read them… it has been fun reading on the tablet in the living room and the paperbacks in the garden;-)…

the fish have finally come out from the bridge… I think they are happy that the waterfall isn’t running…

and the water plants arrived… yay…

two white water lilies, elephant ears and parrot’s feather…

they turned up on Monday, but I left it until yesterday to put them into the pond…

the temperature was only 15° C but the sun was out so it was quite nice… I think they are all firmly settled in…

and the fish are happy as well… one little guy came out from under the bridge while I was in the pond and then couldn’t get past my legs to get back under the bridge… finally I moved both legs to one side and it returned to safety…

so happy when the plants arrived from Ron Paul Garden Centre just after nine this morning, so I didn’t have to wait around for them…

finally got milkweed and butterfly bush… took them right out into the garden and got everything into pots… one of the milkweeds already has buds;-)… hope the monarchs find them…

the butterfly bushes are quite small, but I am hopeful they will grow quickly…

also added fuchsia to one of the already planted pots and used the last few to fill a basket…

I am hoping that the garden is going to be lovely this summer as I anticipate spending lots of time there…

a week ago I took a picture of the clematis growing up the sunny side of the house… it didn’t have any buds at the time…

I was very happy that it was getting bushy and doing well… after some research it appears that it needs to be pinched back so I will start doing that…

we’ve planted a number of them over the years in various spots and they have always died after a few years…

my beloved and I planted this one along the driveway before he died so I am always thrilled when it reappears…

today I spotted some buds and am very excited…

recently social media declared it was barefoot day…

once I heard that, I stepped out of my flip flops and haven’t put anything back on my feet since;-)…

for many years I didn’t wear anything on my feet as often as possible… inside or outside…

and then, even in the house I was wearing slippers… interesting how things change over time…

blessed to be home and have the option…

had the most wonderful morning in the garden…

when I went out for a hot tub first thing I realized the pump had stopped in the pond…

before I went in, I pulled the plug and then spotted a dragonfly sitting on a rock in the pond…

took my breakfast outside and sat and watched it for quite some time… wondering if it had come up from the water and was drying its wings…

it was windy and I watched two butterflies flit past… an orange one, maybe a monarch although it wasn’t close enough to confirm… and a black one… it had some yellow along the outside of the wings…

went into the house for a cup of tea and when I came back, noticed the dragonfly in the pond and thought it might be dead, but then its wings fluttered… I found a stick and pulled it out and set it down in the sun… after about half an hour it flew away;-)…

a short while later I saw my buddy the frog jump in and swim across the pond… and finally the fish came out from under the bridge…

last night I cooked a steelhead trout fillet for the first time… it came as part of my Save-On-Foods delivery, substituted for the salmon I had ordered… I’ve never had this fish, and wouldn’t have likely tried it otherwise…

I found a recipe online and even used the pepper flakes it called for… getting braver with hot things…

I also used the last of the rice from Sunday’s Chinese food with some fresh asparagus… it was a very tasty dinner and I enjoyed it…

there was enough left for another meal, which I had for my lunch today, and it was equally as delicious;-)…

I will buy that again…

a very quiet day…

slow to rise and made french toast with the last of the whole wheat bread…

watched a few morning shows and then headed out to the garden…

planted the last of the flowers still in the garage and spent time reading…

have not seen a single bird today, but I did get a few nice photos…

happy with this great shot of the ferns which are growing so quickly…

the poppies are getting closer and closer to opening and I check them out every morning…

I also cut some lily of the valley for the bedroom… they have finally opened and the scent is lovely…
