it was beautiful inside and out…

currently the temperature outside feels like -11C at 6 pm…pretty darn warm;-)…

saw the most stunning sky to welcome the Winter Solstice early this morning…

had breakfast with my grandson, prepared potatoes for tomorrow’s dinner, made stuffing and had a wonderful visit with a dear young woman…

I also got all of my Smart pieces of technology working correctly;-)… did laundry and brought up the suitcase…

I’ve watched some horse jumping and almost had a nap…

sounds crazy busy, but there were lots of breaks sitting in front of the tree listening to Christmas music…

last Friday I was presented with a lovely bouquet of flowers by our Board…

I have been taking pictures of them ever since… so happy to have my camera back to do so…

today I trimmed the stems and put the flowers into a different vase…

flowers make me happy and taking pictures of them is very relaxing…

yesterday there was fresh fluffy snow covering the ground… it also dusted the wreath at the front door…

the sidewalk always looks so beautiful under a fresh snowfall… more so if you don’t need to walk out there…

this morning the icicles were shining in the sunlight as I left the house and then a bit later I spotted this deer as I was out and about…

the sun shining all day was a wonderful bonus;-)…

my camera fell off a table at work at the beginning of November…

the viewfinder popped off… this camera doesn’t have the old-fashioned type of viewfinder, only the electronic version…

I tried to stick it back on, but the screen remained black… can’t really take photos when you can’t see what is in the viewer… was so upset that I didn’t even get a shot of the before, lol…

called the photo store only to discover I purchased the camera last September… so, no warranty, sigh…

then I called the camera hospital and sent it over by courier so that it could get repaired before the holiday season…

it has been a long time, but this morning it returned to the office… put my memory card back in and took a few photos right away…

so happy to have it back… I enjoy my iPhone camera but have really missed this one…

my friends often tell me that my oldest grandson looks like my beloved… but I don’t see it…

recently my daughter sent me a photo she came across… it was in an album that belonged to her grandmother, my beloved’a mom…

when I first looked at it I wondered where she’d got the picture of my grandson, lol…

then I realized it was my beloved…

a photo from high school, so over fifty years old, but it is still in good shape… and a similar age to my grandson now…

here is a photo from my grandson’s grade twelve graduation…

they do look alike;-)…

enjoyed some time in the hot tub this morning…

although, having a hot tub Saturday evening and Sunday morning doesn’t work that well because my water shoes don’t have time to dry completely… they are rather cold and soggy, lol…

watched chickadees and nuthatches come and go to the feeder and have snacks…

a bit later in the day I watched more chickadees and nuthatches in the front yard…

such fun to get to enjoy the moments with the critters all around…
