put a note in my calendar the other day so that I would remember to bring the Japanese Maple in from the garden…

doesn’t look like it was affected by the cold weather which makes me happy… will watch and see how stressed it will be from the move… it is a bit delicate and often drops all of the leaves when moved…

still have to bring in the hibiscus and mandevilla… maybe on Sunday…

right now the morning glories are wrapped all around the mandevilla, lol…

this morning I was up at my usual time… it was dark…

the sun rose forty-five minutes later… this is very sad… a clear sign of what is to come…

it was light when I left and there were many, many, morning glories blooming in the garden…

over the last week or so, on our way home from work, my travel buddy has taken these pictures of the crane for me…

my beloved was always interested in construction in the city…

for so many years there were no cranes anywhere to be seen…

seeing this one every day makes me think of him…

was so excited yesterday with the mail…

in it was my BOATsmart licence;-)… I worked hard the last week of August to get it after my daughter sent me the link…

when we went camping on the long weekend it was great fun to let my son-in-law know that I had passed the exam…

now for the real life practice…

looking forward to next summer as I work on my boating skills;-)…

looking forward to spending the evening with my BS buddies… we haven’t met too often over the summer…

ah, the summer… took this picture yesterday as I was coming home from the grocery store…

many branches on the trees are bare… and the street is covered with leaves… when I took the picture I was focusing on the leaves on the street… only discovered the bare branches when I was preparing the picture… yikes…

and the Virginia creeper is moving into its fall stage…

not only is it changing colour… something is enjoying it as a snack!

must continue to take the time to focus on special moments because time is whizzing by…

today, while I was out I picked up this cute little asparagus fern…

my parents had one in their apartment… I believe it was passed down from one set of grandparents, although I don’t remember which ones… my beloved would have known that little detail;-)… both of them had green thumbs…

was very happy that it fit right into one of the pots in the cupboard…

the fern reminds me of my mom and dad… hope it likes its new spot…

this morning an MTS tech came out and installed a booster for the internet signal…

he felt that it solved the problem perfectly, but I am not so sure… still taking a long time for some things to load, sigh…

the best news was that my son-in-law showed me how to chromecast my photos onto my tv… my other son-in-law taught me the first time, lol…

I love learning (and relearning) new technology… wrote the instructions down this time so hopefully I won’t forget them…

spent time checking out other technology while enjoying some chocolate and almonds;-)…

two storms during the night and the power was off… not sure for how long, but it came back on at 6 am… I know that because I heard what sounded like a car not starting… after a few minutes I realized it was the printer coming on line…

the sky was still quite angry…

when I got home had a beautiful view as I came out of the garage into the garden… even after an all-day overcast sky, the morning glories were smiling at me…

ended the very long week with a delicious treat… a bit of chocolate, almonds and two shortbread cookies from my stash, lol…

was able to pull over and take this photo this morning as I was going down the next street…

big construction on the street that I usually travel to get to work and I keep forgetting to turn north out of the driveway, lol…

the trees are lovely even as they change colour…

the canopy on this street doesn’t meet up in the middle as much as some of the other streets… still beautiful…

always trying to get a shot of one of these streets without cars, lol…
