today I went for a haircut at Top End Studio Inc…
I was very happy to be going, as my hair was getting a little unmanageable, lol…
we had been to IKEA and I was a little worried about getting there on time…
of course we made it…
and I have great hair again;-)…

I have been so tempted to take the scissors to my hair for the last few days as I tried to find time for a haircut…
today I managed to fit the time in…
felt so much lighter after the cut…
the hairdresser took quite a bit off, so I shouldn’t have that urge for ages, lol…
on my way home I spotted this happy camper, even if they were stuck in the grass;-)…

I was brushing my hair recently and thinking of my grandma…
she was a force to be reckoned with… she worked all her life and struggled with health issues for a good portion of that time… she played the piano like a pro and spent the last years of her life homebound and making regular calls to shut ins to keep them connected;-)…
this was her brush, which I use every now and then… she wore her hair about an inch long and brushed straight up;-)…

my hair goes along fine and then all of a sudden it has grown like crazy…
Wednesday night it hit that it is too long phase and I marched into the bathroom and started cutting…
for years I cut it myself and then it got more difficult to get the back shaped properly so I started going to get it done…
now I usually go to Ultracuts but I also chop it off every now and then, lol…
it isn’t that big a deal as it is curly so hides any huge mistakes;-)…
came out fine this time…

I had a very busy day on Thursday…
so I didn’t have time to get a trim because my hair had apparently gone wild overnight…
instead I dug out my sharp scissors and cut my own hair…
think it came out okay, lol… although, as always, I can’t really see the back;-)…

a year ago my daughter sent some gifts for a friend to drop off to me on January 1st…
amongst the items was a bar of charcoal hair shampoo… I have really enjoyed it and it is now a sliver, lol…
apparently the company may have closed, and the shampoo doesn’t appear to be available…
I went online and found something that might work, ordered it and it arrived last week…
not sure if it is going to work… it has a fairly strong smell so I have set it out on the window ledge in the bathroom and will see if the smell dissipates…
then I will try it on my hair and see how it goes…

I last had my hair trimmed in November, when Hilda the gardener, who is also a professional hairstylist, came to give me a cut at home…
for the last few days I’ve been struggling with it… that all of a sudden too long phase…
this morning I did some of my own trimming…
certainly no purple these days, and I do miss it…
came out nicely, lol… and feels so much better…

had a lovely evening…
headed to Polo Park with a young friend after work…
stopped at Ricki’s and found a jacket, and a purple plaid jean (kind of) shirt… on Saturday I had picked up two cute tops as well… both with purple flowers on them…
then we had supper at Moxie’s…
wandered through a few stores and headed home…
got my hair purpled yesterday so I will be all matched up when I wear the new clothes, lol…
