I’ve been frustrated for a long time because I couldn’t find my Kobo reader… I think I started the search around May…

I came across it ages before that and put it away carefully, sigh… at that point I also had no idea where the charger was for it…

so, I knew it was here, and I’d been searching everywhere for it, particularly after my daughter suggested that one of the universal chargers would likely power it up…

I’ve been using the tablet, but that only works in the house due to the way that the light bounces off it outside… so that meant I needed paper books all summer, lol… I still have one last book from my last online summer purchases…

this morning I was tidying in the bedroom and there it was tucked in along the edge of one of the shelves…

honestly…

and I even found a charger that worked, from my old Blackberry, lol…

woohoo… gonna get reading;-)…

I now have an interesting reading plan, which depends on location……

if I am reading in the house I go into the living room and read on my tablet with Kobo… I had purchased a great number of books a few years ago and then completely forgot about them… this has proven very useful;-)…

if I am reading outside, I use paperback books… I find it too hard to read using the tablet due to the reflection…

today I just finished the last of the books that have been lent to me by friends and my next door neighbour… going back to the bookshelf to find something to reread…

my daughter sent me a calendar wth daily yoga for April, so this morning I decided to do some… I got an old yoga mat out, arranged my phone so I could see it from the mat and started the video…

unfortunately I twisted my back in the process so I’ve had to be very careful with everything I’ve done for the rest of the day…

since the girls were little I occasionally end up with a hurt lower back… sadly, it usually takes ages to return to normal… there’s never an obvious action to cause the problem… it just means being careful about standing for too long and twisting the wrong way when sitting…

my solution today has been to quietly sit in the living room and read… so happy I found the books on Kobo…

for a good portion of the day it snowed and late in the afternoon the sun came out and it looked beautiful with everything covered in snow… especially as I didn’t have to leave the house…

as I was sitting and reading I looked out to see the most beautiful sky…

seeing this stunning view was a very special moment, which I enjoyed…

I’ve finished all the new books I had and was trying to decide if I should start rereading an old one…

I thought I could read something on my Kobo, but couldn’t remember where I put the charger, lol…

but then I decided to download the app onto the tablet which I got with my last iPhone and haven’t been using…

the bonus was that I had purchased a number of books which I hadn’t yet read… and by some of my favourite authors…

I’ve spent a good portion of the day cuddled up under a blanket in the living room reading, as the snow fell…

quiet, but productive day… had planned to run around and do a few errands, but there was a steady downpour all day long so I stayed inside…

feeling much better, absolutely no pain and there don’t appear to be any side effects to the pills, which makes me feel even better…

tidied in the kitchen and got lots of laundry done…

spent some time on the computer organizing and purging… bought some new books for my Kobo and connected the wifi to it, which I hadn’t done before…

had a lovely day… did a few Saturday chores around the house, and went to get my hair purpled… interesting how some things are fine for me to do and other require the big girl pants… I missed George today because he could always see the purple better than I could, and would let me know how it looked…

started reading a new book and played with the TV a bit…

I am learning to use the PVR, sort of… it was just installed a few weeks ago and when the person showed me how it worked, it all seemed very straightforward, but it seems a bit more difficult now, than it appeared then…

I do love technology, and have been learning a few tricks on how to work it all… I have finally got it so that only the channels I actually have come up in the menu, which is quite lovely…  I have also programmed all the HD channels I have…  we won’t talk about the number of questions that my 12 year old grandson and family have answered lately, lol…

I have PVRed two programs on purpose, and one completely by mistake, and I still haven’t figured out how to stop it from taping that series every time it is on, but I’ll figure it out, sooner or later…

this would have driven George crazy, because he would have left all the channels on the menu and scrolled for ages to get through everything… he would also have fiddled with it until it worked…

a little while ago I had a lovely glass of Harveys Bristol Cream, and poppycock (which my friend made me for Christmas) while reading the book I started at Fazes today… I am reading it using Kobo on my iPhone and it is going very well… for the last while before I changed to the iPhone, I wasn’t able to use Kobo on my Blackberry, so I am very happy about this…

for a few years we didn’t have any alcohol in the house as George wasn’t able to drink due to his heart condition, and sometimes I feel like I am cheating on him when I have a glass of something, but tonight I was able to enjoy the treat, without any guilt…

step in the right direction, I guess…
