today, we had one hot tub mid-day and a final one is planned for just before bed…
laundry was done and bags were packed…
a favourite meal was ordered and enjoyed…
we visited, napped, and ate chocolate…
things are lined up at the door for the very early morning trip to the airport…
it was a wonderful time and I enjoyed every single minute;-)…

filled nine boxes with books a few days ago…
the computer room looks like a bomb went off in it, so I am rather pleased to have started the cleanup process…
happily, it was easy to pack them up… I spent many years collecting books on religion, feminism and spirituality… now seems like a good time to pass them along to someone else…
I also gathered many books on children and worship…
planning to drop them off at the Fire Station in the next while…
put aside a few that covered Celtic writings…
once I find a few more empty boxes I will continue with the decluttering;-)…
looking forward to having shelves with space on them, not crammed with books I no longer read…

counting down these last few working days…
today I wrote procedures, did a bit of training, tidied files, and boxed up a number of my plants…
clearly I should have moved the plants last week when it was around zero… today is was -27…
it looks like they made it okay… I’ve emptied the box and tomorrow I will bring home the remaining plants;-)…
and then we will see…

had the most wonderful quiet day today… I am particularly happy about this as I anticipate that the next four days are going to be packed…
wrote a few cards to pop into the mail, made chili and spaghetti with meat sauce, and put away the last few groceries from yesterday’s shopping trip…
the chili came out great… I added some hamburger and onion to the basics… delicious…
missed having the boys for dinner, but they were busy… we are planning to make a gingerbread house next time they are over…
packaged up some meals to share and for the coming week…
had a number of phone calls and enjoyed a few Christmas movies as well…
nice;-)…

back to aquasize tonight… been a while… the parking lot was jam packed… we are anticipating that by mid-February there will be ample room…
and although there were many people at the Rec Centre, our class was rather small, but we got a good workout… the best part was the generous space in the Change Rooms… had a whole section to ourselves…
after supper I enjoyed one of these wonderful peanut butter cookies that my swim buddy brought over last night…

early this morning I took this picture of the gorgeous sunrise as I was running up and down the stairs finishing my packing…
my flight was at a very civilized 9:35 am which meant I even had time for a smoothie before I left home…
bags packed and ready to go…
when I got to the bottom of the escalator took a pic of the water wall while waiting for my bag…
was thinking how far I have come over the last number of years… flying is old hat for me now, which is good and bad I guess… and travelling on my own is very manageable… happily took a cab to my daughter’s house and then walked to the mall to pick up a few things for lunch…

just last week when the boys were over we used the twin of this comforter for their sleepover…
once my daughter arrived home from work we walked down the street and had mani/pedis…
as we made our way home I stopped to get this picture of the gorgeous sunset…
woke up in one province to a beautiful sky and heading to bed in another under the an equally beautiful one…

busy day today…
didn’t get up till 7… big sleep-in for me…
then we had pancakes with freshly picked blueberries and bacon… make a bacon sandwich with mine, thanks to my son-in-law’s suggestion;-)…
saw this cute little mushroom which popped up overnight…
then, as the sky clouded over, everyone helped with the packing up and there wasn’t a single hissy fit…
we had a leisurely drive toward our next destination and stopped at Rainbow Falls… pretty, and likely beautiful in the sunshine… wasn’t any when we were there, the wind was blowing, and there was a bit of spitting…
back into the caravan and we moved on… found the campground and our spot… happily no one was in it so we could unload and put up the tents…
the site is right on the water, without electricity, and the wind was crazy strong… took four of us to get the cover on one of the tents, lol… upside, there haven’t been any mosquitoes… we have a second spot across the road which does have electricity so we can charge the various technology, and also heat water for tea and coffee in the morning, lol…
all set up, required groceries and drinks purchased, and we sat and had a lovely quiet time reading… bliss…
sun was shining, screens and doors were open, and the kids went for a walk…
only downside, no showers or Internet… but the boys have found a spot that we can walk to and connect…

in the car, on the way to the lake…
kind of late but life intervened in our desire to leave earlier,,,
day started out great with the large morning glory having an open blossom on it… not purple this time, but a lovely shade of blue…
got a few pictures first thing as I was running around getting the car packed…
as I was leaving for work I had to stop and take a few more pictures of the lovely shadows and sunlight on the plants…
took the few extra minutes to enjoy the moment…
over lunch hour helped prepare some appetizers for a shower a colleague was attending this evening…
such fun… every now and then I miss the catering business, lol… much more fun when you are only getting a few things prepped…
drove to my daughter’s new house and had a tour before we ran around and got groceries and did that last minute packing of the car…
not sure we have an extra inch available… of course, George would have had excess available… he was such a great organizer of space…
brought warmer clothes this time… flannel pajamas, heavier jackets and an extra blanket… can you tell I was a bit chilly during the night last time, lol…
looking forward to a campfire…

tonight the sky turned dark and the wind blew like crazy…
eventually it blew the storm right past us…
the sun shone through the clouds and the light in the front and back was beautiful…
the kids came over, mowed and whipper snipped the front yard, which looked as though the house had been abandoned, lol, and then we had supper before they headed home…
my nine year old grandson stayed behind… we had a fun time in the hot tub, found markers and colouring books, and cards for his backpack and he has headed to bed…
my suitcase and carry on are packed and we are ready to go…
taxi is picking us up at 6:15 and we will be on our way to Ottawa to visit Cyndi and Ron…
