walked to and from the “A” on Sunday morning…
it took a bit longer than usual as it was icy so the walking was a bit treacherous…
but it gave me the opportunity to get a few photos of the beautiful trees…
happy to get outside and enjoy the fresh air…

had a quiet day… it was snowing when I got up and didn’t stop until around 4 pm…
then the sun came out and it looked beautiful… looked being the operative word as, sadly, right now it feels like -30 Celsius… brrrrr…
spent a good portion of the day on the couch reading a book by one of my favourite authors and barely got my steps in… when I am into one of those books, it is hard to stop to get up and walk around…
but, was happy to take a few pictures of the lovely blooms around the space…
life is good…

put out a heart on the front door yesterday to celebrate Valentine’s Day…
then I shovelled the bottom third of the driveway…
a bit skinny, but I think a car would fit there, lol…

someone built a very nice snowperson a few weeks ago and it has been happily sitting in the field across the way and I’ve enjoyed watching it…
recently, with the warmer weather, it has started to shrink a bit;-(…
and yesterday, when I looked out the back, I noticed this lovely necklace hanging from the bird feeder…
looks like a cool sculpture… wonder how it will look next…

excited to discover the spotlight on the upper deck is working again…
it had been covered with snow for many weeks and I was thinking it wasn’t going to work in the cold…
as I was walking down the stairs on Thursday night, I looked out and saw the light….
apparently the warm and sunny weather uncovered the solar panel on the top of it, lol…
makes me happy, although the camera isn’t out there now…
not like there are fish in the pond that need to be protected, lol…

went out on Friday and shovelled the sidewalk and the path to the furnace vents…
it was cold and blowy, but there was quite a bit of snow that needed to be moved…
didn’t take too long and there was a lot of snow by the vents…
glad I got to it…

I was surprised to see this on the garage cam this morning… it is a bit blurry, and at first I thought it was a cat, but then I recognized the tail…
thought these guys were gone for the winter, lol… although I don’t care if they come by when there aren’t any fish in the pond for them to eat;-)…

Friday is garbage and recycling day and I usually only take mine out every three or four weeks…
Thursdays are the day to take them out and put them into the lane… I am blessed because my neighbour snowblows behind his garage so there is a spot to put them…
I find that I only need to take one or the other out, which is good because there isn’t always room for both, lol… this time it was the garbage, and I should have shovelled the snow on the path, but didn’t;-)…
now to remember to bring it in later on Friday…

started the year off with a lovely hot tub…
the trees were covered in hoarfrost and looked so nice…
I finally got a photo of the icicles hanging along the edge of the house…
I think they are there because of where the hot tub is located and I no longer sit at that end because I don’t want one to land on my head…
