walked to and from the Park yesterday…
met up with a number of Canada geese, but happily they all ignored me and everyone else on the paths…
noticed that the Assiniboine was very low…
and the path was covered in leaves, pretty…
such a beautiful place;-)…

the other day, I drove to the pedestrian bridge and walked over to the Park Café where I met a birthday buddy for breakfast and a visit…
I would usually walk but one of my feet was a tad unhappy, so only walking partway made sense…
I even wore running shoes😳…
usually we meet between our birthdays, but this year got a bit hectic, lol…
I had falafel with red pepper hummus and we talked the entire time…
then I had a quick walk through the English and Leo Mol Gardens before making my way back to the car and driving home…
and, my foot didn’t bother me;-)…

yesterday, I called and made an appointment at Silver Heights IDA Pharmacy and walked over for my flu shot…
signed a paper, sat down and waited a few minutes, and it was done… didn’t even need a bandaid;-)…
continued on my walk and collected a few Poke balls in the process…
this morning I got a text from a friend advising that the Pharmacy had the Covid vaccine as of this morning…
I called right away and was there inside of fifteen minutes and got the shot… apparently, the needle hit a blood vessel so there was some bleeding…
this time I got a bandage, lol…
currently my arm is a teeny bit sore, and I am tired but I am so pleased to have both vaccines taken care of;-)…

another wonderful visit to The Leaf… this time with family from out-of-town…
we were there Monday, just after eleven and it wasn’t crowded… we began with a quick walk through the Diversity Gardens…
inside the Tropical Biome, we stopped to visit the three cacao trees, lol…
we had a great time in the Mediterranean Biome checking out the new display – Yasuragi: The Gardens of Japan…
I will be coming again and again to enjoy this serene spot…
from there we had lunch at Gather Craft Kitchen & Bar… delicious, as always…
a visit to the Shirley Richardson Butterfly Garden, where there were many varieties of butterflies, ended our time before we walked home…
certainly a delightful way to spend the day…

walked over and got a haircut this morning…
on my way, met up with a red fox that was about five feet away when it ran past me…
didn’t even look like much hair was taken off, but my head certainly feels better…
noticed the sad looking flower pots along the boulevard that look like mine at home…
apparently the city isn’t watering, just like me🤪…
does my hair look foxy;-)…

went just a few streets further on my walk this morning…
it was overcast and a bit cool, which made it perfect for walking;-)…
today, orange and yellow seemed to be the colours that drew me…
it is fun to look at houses and how front yards are designed… even came across an Inukshuk…
caught some geese that were flying right above me…
and had a different view of the Park bridge, ice sculpture and pavilion…
glad I went early, as not too long after I got home it rained for ages…

had a wonderful time Tuesday morning as I wandered through the English and Leo Mol Gardens…
it was the first time in months since I’ve walked to the Park… took a minute to remember which path to take, lol…
the gardens are in full bloom and look amazing…
besides the gorgeous flowers, I was able to watch a number of stunning birds, including hummingbirds, as they flitted about all the flowers…
these two photos have one in each of them, but both are rather blurry and hard to spot…
such a wonderful way to spend the morning;-)…

saw some lovely flower displays on my walk yesterday…
this house looked nice with the lovely manicured flowerbeds…
I often take a photo of this display that looks pretty throughout the entire summer…
and these flowers made me think more about changing out the grass in the front yard…

today I added a couple of books to my stair library…
picked them up at a Little Free Library on my morning walk…
both are from some of my favourite authors;-)…
this was a new-to-me library as I took a slightly different route today…

went for a walk around the neighbourhood Friday morning…
was surprised at the huge stacks of sod I spotted at one point, lol… could not figure out where it was all going to go…
lots of flowers and a few people along the way, but no books of interest at either of the Little Libraries I passed…
the weather was lovely though, and I collected a few Poke balls;-)…
