I started this post many weeks ago after Indi had a second bath in just over a week… that was all before the world came to a grinding halt…
after the first bath, she spent a few days with my grandson and I’m not sure what happened, but when I got back into her she was so dirty I couldn’t see out the windows, lol…
she looked beautiful afterwards and I anticipated that the mucky weather would get her dirtied up fairly quickly…
I haven’t been out of the house for 43 days so she’s been hunkered down in the garage although a few weeks ago I did move her onto the driveway for a short time as I cooked steak on the grill…
today I was reminded by Facebook, and an email from Nelson at Birchwood Toyota, that it is her second birthday;-)…
opened my box from The Dahlia Expert and took out my eight new tubers… I’d set it on the floor out of the way for a few days after it arrived to be sure it was safe;-)…
found pots, cleaned them out and matched the tubers with the appropriate pot…
left them outside for the rest of the day hoping that the rain might give them a drink… it did rain for a very short time but not a lot…
took quite a while, but eventually all eight were nestled in their new homes…
brought them in just before dark and put them back out for the day this morning…
they will be coming in and going out for the next while as I wanted them to get a head start on growing before they can live outside permanently;-)…
this morning, while I was searching for something in the garage, I came across an envelope of morningglory seeds that had been there for atleast a year… apparently a critter had chewed open the end of the envelope, but left the seeds… not so tasty maybe…
I sprinkled them over two planters along the deck and then covered them with soil… will watch and see what happens…
no idea if they will sprout, but I thought it was worth a chance…
had an excellent day yesterday… got a parcel in the mail… with chocolate in it…
spent time in the garden… reading in the sun, washing down a few pieces of furniture… moving chairs around for a different view… cleaning out some planters… it was lovely…
ended the day with a visit from a dear young friend… she was on the sidewalk and I was at the front door…
my daughter sent me a calendar wth daily yoga for April, so this morning I decided to do some… I got an old yoga mat out, arranged my phone so I could see it from the mat and started the video…
unfortunately I twisted my back in the process so I’ve had to be very careful with everything I’ve done for the rest of the day…
since the girls were little I occasionally end up with a hurt lower back… sadly, it usually takes ages to return to normal… there’s never an obvious action to cause the problem… it just means being careful about standing for too long and twisting the wrong way when sitting…
my solution today has been to quietly sit in the living room and read… so happy I found the books on Kobo…
for a good portion of the day it snowed and late in the afternoon the sun came out and it looked beautiful with everything covered in snow… especially as I didn’t have to leave the house…
as I was sitting and reading I looked out to see the most beautiful sky…
seeing this stunning view was a very special moment, which I enjoyed…
