enjoyed the aquasize class although I lost a quarter when the key wouldn’t come out of the slot, lol…
the new gloves really do work well, although they caught on the rail as I was getting out of the pool…
next time I will take them off before I get to the stairs… but they sure look great with my water shoes;-)…

spent an hour and a half wandering through The Leaf in the daytime…
we took ample time to search out the plants as we wandered through the tropical biome… and we found the cacao tree;-)…
the waterfall continues to over perform…
I am betting that there are people working very hard to figure out how to end up with less splash, lol…
I spent at lot of time on the bridge, watching the beautiful koi swimming around the pond… a lovely treat;-)…
there were a lot of people there, but it didn’t feel too crowded… we wore masks but the majority of others didn’t… since I was last in the space there have been large fans added, so there did appear to be a lot of noise, but once through the doors into the Mediterranean biome, it was quiet…
the Shirley Richardson Butterfly Garden was a much busier place with numerous butterflies flitting about… it is always fun to search for the ones that have landed and are blending in with the foliage… as visitors move through this area they are quiet and will sit and patiently watch the action…
there are two elevators to take you up to the canopy and the Butterfly Garden and only one was working… seems to slow the flow down a bit…
there was ample space for jackets in the coat room, many volunteers to answer questions and direct the flow of people, and lots of open space…

went to The Leaf, had lunch at Gather Craft Kitchen and Bar, and then wandered through the biomes…
lunch was relaxed and delicious… the burger was juicy… the arctic char on potato salad was smoky with a touch of dill and very tasty…
as our food arrived we went online and purchased our tickets… wanted to be sure we didn’t have to rush our meal…
ended with chocolate mille-feuille and Earl Grey Creme Brûlée, both of which were delightful…
a sharp knife made eating the mille-feuille much easier and the spoon worked perfectly for the brûlée, lol…
we watched bus loads of folks arriving to tour the gardens as we enjoyed our lunch…
the space is comfortable, the staff attentive, and the company excellent;-)…
looking forward to the next visit…

had lunch with my buddies on Monday to celebrate a couple of birthdays…
ordered from Spice Circle the day before and we picked it up… we always need to check because many restaurants are closed on Mondays, which we have learned the hard way, lol…
we had a variety of items and found the food hot and tasty… my goat thali was very nice… the one thing I might change was the packaging as it didn’t all fit into one container…
but there were leftovers for another meal for everyone;-)…

Friday is garbage and recycling day and I usually only take mine out every three or four weeks…
Thursdays are the day to take them out and put them into the lane… I am blessed because my neighbour snowblows behind his garage so there is a spot to put them…
I find that I only need to take one or the other out, which is good because there isn’t always room for both, lol… this time it was the garbage, and I should have shovelled the snow on the path, but didn’t;-)…
now to remember to bring it in later on Friday…

had a good time at aquasize and then we took a drive to DeLuca’s…
I got spinach wraps, gnocchi, canned tomatoes and two different types of bread…
apparently I am still craving bread, lol… now I just need to learn how to cook the gnocchi…
once home I made two little peanut butter and banana sandwiches for my lunch…
they were very tasty…

ordered a light strip to replace the pot lights that have stopped working under the kitchen counter…
took a while to arrive and then I needed to read the directions a few times before installing it…
had to move the microwave and it took some effort but eventually I got the old lights removed…
then it took another while to figure out how to connect the app I downloaded and get the light to work…
and at that point I discovered that the new light strip didn’t provide enough light, sigh…
now to decide on next steps…

and they happen to be purple;-)…
our instructor recommends them as essential gear… can’t wait to try them out later in the week…

spent Tuesday putting away the little trees…
now the stairs look a bit naked…
the front trees are put away but that space looks filled with the plants that returned from the den…
I’ve been trying to add a new tree to the collection most years, but didn’t manage it this year… maybe next year;-)…
