on Saturday, I spent the majority of the day outside…

did a bit of garden planning… had to bring out one of my beloved’s measuring tapes to do some checking of sizes of planters…

he had many, many measuring tapes… I have given a number of them away, but there are still a few around the house and in the garage…

put out a lounger, swept part of the back deck, topped up the hot tub and sat in the sun and read…

lovely way to spend time…

yesterday I got my appointment for my COVID vaccination… woohoo… was thrilled as the age limit has been going down very slowly… arranged for my grandson to drive me there and back when the day arrives…

so, for a treat, I ordered from my favourite Vietnamese restaurant – Pho Hoang… we used to go there after our aquasize class… in the before time…

the food always arrives quickly and is delicious…

I usually try to order enough for a couple of meals, so got my favourite shrimp summer rolls with the steak and brisket pho… ate the rolls with some of the pho broth…

I also ordered some rolled ice cream, although I only ate a third of it with my dinner… it was delicious;-)…

had a big bowl of pho today… and maybe finished the ice cream;-)…

had a lovely afternoon on the deck yesterday…

removed one of the feeding saucers and cleaned the table… that took a long time but it looked shiny when I was done… looks ready for a meal with the boys;-)…

then I sat in the sunshine and read… so lovely…

at the end of the afternoon I brought in the planters which I am going to use to start some seedlings…

looking forward to getting the planting started…

in January 2020 I decided to cutback on paper towel… I gave most of what I had away and only kept a few rolls…

I moved the one roll that was in the kitchen to the closet, so that it would be more difficult to get to…

I found a number of old towels and facecloths around the house and started using and reusing them… they sit on the microwave and when used go into a small bin that I have next to it, before heading to the laundry…

today I used the last piece from that roll and brought up another… wonder how long this one will last…

it is surprising how little you can use when you are thinking about it… next up will be the Kleenex…

got another batch of reusable tissues and had fun figuring out how to best set them out…

found a small Kleenex box, opened one end, folded the tissues over one another, placed them in the box, used double sided tape to close it, and popped the first one out;-)…

works perfectly…

then I dug out a small container to put the used ones into until they get washed;-)…

a few days ago I separated the two commingled orchids… it was amazing how deep the roots had gone into each other’s pot…

after that I moved the majority of the orchids around… it is lovely now to see them all throughout both the living and dining room…

even many of the ones from the living room table were moved… the table looks a bit empty now, lol…

I am hopeful that they will all be happy in their new locations…

one of the things that makes me the happiest is spending time taking photos of bouquets…

yesterday I spent a good portion of the day taking shots from all angles with my Nikon…

as the flowers open and close I will have more opportunities to get some beautiful photos…

flowers make me happy;-)…

as I’ve been walking the figure-eight pattern in the living and dining room I’ve been thinking of my beloved…

he walked the same pattern as he recovered from his heart surgery;-)…

this photo (quite a few iPhones ago) is from one of our walks while he was still in hospital after the surgery…

happily, I have met my step goal every day since mid-January;-)… maybe I will up my goal…
