went to De Luca’s on Portage Avenue for lunch the other day…
ordered the vegetarian mushroom, spinach, and cheese pizza, along with half of a shared Greek salad…
it was delicious…
and I brought some home which I had for lunch the next day…

yesterday, on an excursion with my adventure buddy, we picked up bagels from Fromagerie Bothwell…
we also visited St. Leon’s Gardens where we both filled our bags with delicious fresh produce…
I had also been gifted some salmon cream cheese by that same friend…
today, for lunch, I had a toasted everything bagel with salmon cream cheese, onion, and fresh radishes and cucumbers…
it was delicious…

it was a nice walk there and back…

had fun documenting my daughter’s activities as she made various rubbings in the garden for a book she is making;-)…
she has been doing this all the way from Vancouver Island…
she wandered around the garden using sheets of paper and the side of different coloured crayons…
some of the rubbings worked beautifully, others, not so much… she also took a few items to add into the book…
but I am sure that the finished product will be beautiful;-)…

my daughter came to town and was here for about 12 hours between Saturday and Sunday…
she was passing through, helping a friend drive from B.C. to Ontario… the friend, her dad, and their dog spent the night with us…
we had supper when they arrived, enjoyed some garden time that evening and the next morning and then they headed off after breakfast;-)…
both meals were requested and it was fun to make her favourite macaroni and cheese and satisfy her friend’s desire for pancakes…
such a treat to see her and meet this friend who I’ve heard much about, but never had the opportunity to meet…
it was a whirlwind…
