today I spotted a few visitors in the neighbourhood…
all day my baby bunny friend has been popping up in the garden… I think we are becoming friends, lol…
now it sits closer to me and for longer periods;-)…
later in the day, as I was getting my steps in, I saw a mallard pair sitting under the pine tree next door… not sure I’ve ever seen ducks this close to the house…
this morning, as I was starting to walk around the living and dining rooms to check on all the seedlings, I noticed my next door neighbour taking photos… I looked across the street at her car, thinking something had damaged it, but it was fine…
I looked at the field and along the neighbour’s fence but there was nothing there…
I tried to look down the lane but there really isn’t a good angle from where I was…
I started to walk away and noticed something on the roof across the street…
there was a goose standing there… clearly what she was taking pictures of…
I got a few photos before the camera battery announced it was exhausted, and suddenly another goose flew toward it and away, maybe from my roof, and then the first goose followed…
it was chilly, but I’d seen numerous birds at the feeders so I moved a lounge chair next to the garage door, wrapped myself up in a blanket and sat still and watched for the visitors coming to the feeders…
there were juncos, white throated sparrows, maybe a song sparrow, a couple of chickadees, and either male and female purple or house finches… they were all over the feeders and on the ground…
there were also two mice… which is okay, as long as they are outside…
I was thrilled to sit and watch and didn’t take out the camera until just before I came in…
I’ve been spending a bit of time with my Olympus camera, getting to know it again…
it had been sitting on the shelf for a long time because I had misplaced the charger…
my son-in-law was able to find one online for me and I recently received it…
I dug out the manual, read through it and have started to take more pictures… I never thought it worked as well as my Nikon, but maybe I didn’t give it a chance, lol…
