a few days ago my buddy arrived with a wreath and a huge container of poinsettias…
she took the bow off the wreath, added a silver ornament, and finally made and attached a new snowflake ribbon…
then she hung it up on the front door…
it looks great and very Christmas-y… she is very talented;-)…

Thursday marked 10 years since I started blogging…
and when I looked at my stats, they tell me I have reached 500 followers… wow…
it also means that ten years have passed since my beloved left me…
just yesterday a delivery arrived and the box smelled of cigarette smoke… haven’t smelled that for years and it reminded me of him, as he was a smoker…
I miss him all the time, but I also know he would be proud of how I have grown over these years…

the main tree went up… and I even put one into the dining room…
a dear friend came over and decorated the one in the living room…
she did a great job, as always… especially since I didn’t contact her until noon once I decided that was the day, lol…
I brought up many, many, boxes of ornaments which we went through and decided on what to use this year…
once she left, I worked on the dining room tree and put most of the leftovers back downstairs…
in the morning I put up the snowflakes and put away the last bits and pieces…
I was especially happy when I found my embroidered snowflake picture…
which may have been hiding for a few years;-)…

today marks 10 years since I started blogging…

I received a box of individually wrapped pieces of chocolate in the mail to fill my Advent calendar…
was very happy and quick to pop one into each of the twenty four squares in the box… and there are two on the last day so that I can enjoy one on Christmas Day;-)…
now to wait for tomorrow, when I get to open the first one;-)…

the trees made their way up the stairway…
found the box and had some fun placing them…
have one that needs to be plugged in, so I need to figure out how to get it connected…
the rest look great… Facebook told me I had done the same thing on this date two years ago… and I was thinking it was kind of early, lol…
a final few went onto a table by the front door… these include a few that my beloved made many years ago…
I like how they look, and they are connected to Google;-)…

it always amazes me how one day my hair is perfectly fine and the next day way too long… and I can’t possibly wait another moment to fix it🤪…
finally got around to using the beautifully sharp scissors… well, they were sharpened in September…
they are amazing;-)… what a difference…
after a bit of trimming, I think my hair came out pretty nice…

the decorating is taking shape…
worked on the living room table…
removed all the pictures, angels, sarongs, and stones…
found the bags filled with ornaments that have gone into it for the last few years…
got them into three of the squares and saved the last square for cards;-)…
and I also received the first card… woohoo…

it was above zero today, so I took the opportunity to clear the snow off the deck…
it was beautiful out, warm and still… and I enjoyed my time in the garden, even if it was shovelling…
the weather has been a bit odd, with freezing cold days, then warm ones, and then back to the cold ones, lol…

I love smoked Goldeye and don’t have it too often…
yesterday, when I was out with a friend we stopped in at Gimli Fish Market and I was able to pick one up…
today, I made Goldeye cream cheese for the future and had Goldeye with cucumber and onion salad for my lunch…
