often, now as I lay in bed at night, I listen to the frogs at the creek croaking their little hearts out…

it is quite lovely to hear and reminded me that I needed to move the camera – which was facing the driveway for the winter – back to its spot on the deck, facing the pond…

made the move today, after I charged the battery…

it will be interesting to see if it catches those bunnies that have been tearing around the garden at night, lol…

on Saturday I brought up the dahlias and put them in the sun on the dining room table…

after doing some reading I put some of them in plastic containers to give them a bit of humidity…

we will see if that makes any difference…

happy that a number of them have already started growing…

I also started some morning glories… I was rather sad to discover that I hardly had any seeds, so I only put one in each of the containers…

looking forward to seeing some shoots in the near future;-)…

it was time to change the water and filter in the hot tub…

once I brought out the pump and connected it to the hose, I started the process at 10:20 am… twelve minutes later the pump came out and I emptied the last little bit of water with a pail and cloth… that took another twenty minutes…

once the new filter was in, I brought out the hose from the basement, repaired a piece of it, and hooked it back up to the outside tap…

filling the tub took about an hour and a half and just after 1 pm, the electricity was back on and the heating up process began…

it took just over a day to heat to 103°C…

had a bit of a giggle when this photo came up in my Facebook memories…

it was from 14 years ago when I was visiting my daughter in Courtenay and we had spent the day at Kingfisher Resort and Spa

and yesterday, my own gardener was here;-)… just took a few years to accomplish

and, of course, she isn’t here every day, or just my gardener, lol…

but, still…

first day of garden cleanup…

Hilda the Gardener arrived and spent the afternoon removing leaves and debris from around the garden and fluffing the beds…

even though not everything got done, it makes such a huge difference to how the garden looks…

took this photo before Hilda arrived…you can see the difference under the main deck;-)…

I was sitting on the back deck for the first time this year… woohoo;-)…

looking forward to many wonderful moments in this sanctuary…

on a recent walk to the Park and around the gardens I was rather shocked to see how many trees had been removed throughout the forest between the walking bridge and the gardens as well as in the gardens…

there were still trees that had fallen or been blown over…

and it appeared that the pergola in the Leo Mol pond area had been completely rebuilt or else it had been sandblasted…

lots of changes since I was there in the Fall;-)…

walked to the Park and around the English and Leo Mol Gardens…

it was very bare, lol…

I came across a Canada goose on the path to the Leo Mol Garden and it wasn’t moving, no matter what I did… I could see another goose on the roof of the Leo Mol Gallery that seemed to be working on a nest… so, possibly its partner…

although you are asked to remain on the path, I ended up walking through one of the beds because I did not want to cause an issue or get bitten by the goose…

I made it across both times, because it was still there when I left 😳…

I received a letter from Manitoba Health the other day…

in it was my new health card, woohoo…

I’d been planning to give them a call as I had gone online and filled out the application what seemed like many weeks ago, lol…

it looks great and I was quick to pull the old paper one out of my wallet and put in the new plastic one…
