shhhhh… the snow is gone from the front yard…
and I finally took a few minutes to straighten up the rain barrel which had been blown over weeks ago from some of the crazy winds we’d been having…
now we are ready for some rain;-)… and plants popping up from the ground…

finally made it outside for a walk…
it was overcast and around +2°C…
had on my sandals, gloves, a toque, and a spring jacket…
walked by some infill housing construction but happily didn’t get my shoes too muddy…
lovely to be outdoors… I was watching for signs of spring and was happy to see the water flowing in parts of the creek, although closer to home the creek was still ice-covered…
did find these cute little snowdrops…
but that was it… guess it is going to be a while yet before things start to pop up;-)…

we went to Aquasize today… we were happy because we found the lockers that returned your quarter… I’d put all my possessions into the locker, before I realized that there was no safety pin on the key…
I had a towel above the locker, so I placed the key inside it and saved having to change lockers… when we left I advised the front desk staff and they will have it fixed…
and I wore my sandals for the first time… actually had on socks when we went but didn’t wear them on the way home;-)…
yay…

the sky was beautiful this morning when I looked out the window first thing…
a few minutes later I got another view…
the clouds were very interesting…
a bit later I watched geese flying low overhead as they headed out for a meal;-)… they were moving quickly and my phone was in my pocket…
but it is also great to just watch them and not worry about capturing a photo;-)…
the sky is so wonderful…

yesterday, we lifted the tarp and moved some of the furniture out from under it…
chairs for the table found their way onto the deck and the second wicker chair made it up there as well…
a couple of tables moved onto the lower deck and the butterfly chair moved across that deck as I continue to search for the correct spot for it;-)…
the tarp is still on the back deck and some of the remaining furniture is frozen to the wood…
can’t wait to sit back there;-)…

I was up late to watch an F1 race and got a notification from the doorbell camera advising there was an animal in view…
checked the app and spotted a deer, so I raced downstairs and watched a deer looking for a snack beside the cedar…
watched and followed it across the yard to the bird feeder…
and spotted a second one;-)… it was entertaining to watch their antics as they tried to get the sunflower seeds out of the feeders…
while I was watching, three more came into view👀…
such a treat to be able to watch them until all five headed off to follow the creek over towards the airport…
because I don’t pay for a subscription, the camera only shows the past three hours before activities vanish, so I don’t always get to see them, lol…

I was brushing my hair recently and thinking of my grandma…
she was a force to be reckoned with… she worked all her life and struggled with health issues for a good portion of that time… she played the piano like a pro and spent the last years of her life homebound and making regular calls to shut ins to keep them connected;-)…
this was her brush, which I use every now and then… she wore her hair about an inch long and brushed straight up;-)…

it was a bit of a sad day today, even though the sun was shining;-)…
a moving truck arrived and took all morning to empty out the house next door…
I am going to miss my little buddy and his baby sister (oh yes, and their parents, lol), but they aren’t moving too far away and will be around as they are renting the house…

started April by changing up the living room table…
this time I moved all the crystals to one square, filled a second square with shells… the third square included birds and critters… the final square with some of my favourite books…
looks good…

got some lovely flowers on Tuesday…
had fun trimming and putting them into a couple of vases…
one went onto the living room table right by where I spend a good portion of the day…
the second went into the den so I can enjoy them while watching tv…
great way to start my birthday month, lol…
