I’ve been trying something new with my orchids…
the ones in the den have been getting buds and have also been sitting in water, sort of by accident, lol, so I decided to try that for all the other ones…
we will see what happens…

when the cleaners were here last week, I heard a crash and one of them brought me this angel… in three pieces…
it was put on the kitchen counter and my housemate first glued on one piece, left it for a few days and added the other piece…
he is much more precise when putting things together, lol… reminds me of my beloved;-)…
she is now put together nicely, although missing a hand, but we haven’t found that piece…
still, she has joined her sisters on the bedroom shelf…

was on my way downstairs to go out to the hot tub on Friday and heard a loud noise… looked out the window to see one of the two hardcovers laying on the ground… not attached to either side of the tub…
it had slipped out of my grandson’s hands and, in the very cold weather, broke both arms that hold it on…
luckily, after we soaked for a while the two of us were able to set it back where it belonged… no single person hot tubs until it gets repaired, lol, as it will take two of us to open and close the cover…
happily Krevco had some arms available…
we will wait for a warm day to empty the tub, move it to install the arm closest to the house, put it back, connect the second arm, and refill the tub…
fun times, lol…

I really enjoy technology and am always on the lookout for new ways to do things…
for a few years I’ve been adding smart technology to the house piece by piece and that has been a fun and learning experience…
I often check out new apps for my phone and currently have done research into using video conferencing and computer programs…
a few days ago, I discovered, completely by accident, that if I swipe left on my lock screen it takes me to my camera… very funny…
on my lock screen there is a small camera icon, which I have clicked on from the beginning…
reminded me of the line “you don’t know what you don’t know”… when I worked I would spend time with each person on staff as they worked at their computer… I would often learn some tip or trick that they used and assumed everyone else already knew, but didn’t…
wonder what I will discover next;-)…

was talking with someone who recently lost a parent…
we were commiserating on the steps and costs of dealing with a death…
it has been a reminder of all the difficult times that we went through when my beloved died…
on the weekend relived a bit of the trauma around the car… after he died, it had to be repaired and detailed following the accident and then I had to have it safetied so that my name could go on the lease instead of his…
so many complicated steps… hard…
