went to a pet store today… big mistake, lol…

came home with three goldfish… a white one with a bright patch of red close to its tail and two gold with black dots all over them…

set them in the pond in their travel bag for nearby an hour… it is fairly cool in the pond with all this cold weather we’ve been having…

once they were released, I spotted this little one and got a quick photo… then they vanished under the bridge… since then, I’ve spotted the white one, but so far not the other two;-)…

this memory came up from July 28, 2013, lol…

and this photo is from Friday morning, the 26th after a night out;-)…

it was cool with a lovely breeze, so once again no mosquitoes;-)…

the lounge chair was nice, but the air mattress is definitely more comfy…

it is so nice to have a sleep-out… like camping, without the travel, lol…

it was chilly on Saturday morning so I had on a vest and put my Assiniboine Park Conservancy blanket over my legs…

it is mid July;-(…

a few times later in the day, I had to put away all the cushions because it rained for short periods of time, lol…

and I kept that vest on all day…

this morning the sky was overcast and dull…

and it was rather cool…

got a few pictures of the Virginia creeper growing up the fireplace chimney at the front of the house…

the colours sure are cool…

very happy that it is Friday… seems like it has been a long week…

I am getting the start of a cold, which is not cool, sigh, so I treated myself to a lovely Thali dinner via SkipTheDishes…

last week I gave in and turned on the air conditioner to cool down the house…

George and I would always struggle over when to put it on, at what temperature and when to turn it off…

at night I would want to turn it off and open the windows to let in fresh air… he would want to keep it on with all the windows closed to keep the cool/cold air in the house…

made for interesting conversations, lol… I would be so happy to still be able to have one of those conversations…

another negative is once you get into the cool house you don’t want to go outside again…

since turning it on, I’ve been leaving the house closed up during the day and the temperature not too cold… at night I’ve been opening the windows to let in the fresh air…


this shot of one of the morning glories today reminded me not to hide in the house but to get outside and enjoy the peace and beauty of the garden…

first morning this season that I didn’t need to turn on the light in the bedroom…

great sign that Spring really is coming…

been overcast for most of the day and it is still quite cool with a bit of wind…

looking forward to some sunshine although it might not turn up until Friday…

been a month since we were on the sun drenched beaches of Mazatlan… 

have to channel some of that weather, lol…
