yesterday morning the furnace people arrived around 8 am, just when they said they would… the temp had made it up to 18°C…
people came and went, bits and pieces were removed and then the new high efficiency furnace made it into the basement after tarps were laid down to protect the stairs… Harry worked all day, with helpers coming and going as needed…
it took two of them to get the heavy oldie out of the house…
I was out for the afternoon and when I arrived home the temperature was at a toasty 20°C…
the basement was perfectly clean, all of the bits and pieces which had gone into the backyard were gone and the vents had been raised so the snow shouldn’t be a problem in the future…
and this pretty thing was snuggled into the space… reminds me a bit of Barbie, the barbecue;-)…
I am very pleased with the whole process and would happily recommend M1 Mechanical for furnace replacement or repair…
for Mother’s Day my Winnipeg kids gave me a SkipTheDishes gift certificate…
tonight I ordered the goat thali platter from Clay Oven… it is one of my favourite meals…
decided to eat the whole piece of naan bread and leave the rice and potatoes till tomorrow… usually I will eat half of it but often the remaining piece will be too dried out to eat the next day…
also ordered a few other items for my lunch… really getting my spice/heat quotient up…
did something to my back yesterday morning… no idea what… have felt slightly off for a week or so… maybe this is my body’s way of dealing with not feeling well…
by the end of the day it was difficult to move… had the seat on the highest level of heat as I drove home to see if that would help… felt lovely…
lay down as soon as I got in and decided to order supper because I just couldn’t imagine making it…
first time since starting with ChefsPlate that I’ve ordered from SkiptheDishes… I usually enjoy experimenting with making the meals…
enjoyed half of the fish and chips and then went to bed…
during the day getting up after sitting for a while and starting to walk is always the most difficult… still sore today but I have worked through…
had the remainder of the fish and chips and am planning to climb into bed and sleep in tomorrow…
the light is fading every day… sure sign that it is Fall, sigh…
last night I turned on the radiant heater in the bathroom… was a lovely treat this morning to walk on warm tiles…
most of the floor is warm, except right in front of the sink, lol… where a person stands to wash and brush their teeth…
got this great shot of Emptyful and the church spire… don’t often look at it from this viewpoint… the warm weather made quite a bit of fog/mist around it…
I have absolutely refused to turn the heat on… even though it has been fairly cool for the last few weeks…
at work we’ve had every heater we own going full blast as the boiler doesn’t start running until late September… they turned it on Friday morning and then we melted, lol, while they were testing it… need sweaters in the summer and sleeveless tops in the winter… must say I notice many others on the street in the same situation…
at home a few days ago I did turn on the radiant heat in the bathroom…
