sitting on the deck I listened to a couple of the white-throated sparrows calling to one another from here and the neighbours’ trees… that was after Merlin confirmed which birds they were, lol…
a lovely treat…
and I got a few photos…
the last one was having a bath;-)…

the other day, my Merlin sound app found many different birds inside an hour and a half… even though I didn’t see them all…
what a treat to have confirmation of some of the little birds flitting about the garden…
we are clearly in the middle of migration season…

had an enjoyable time watching all my feathered friends flitting about the garden…
I think the birdies were happy that the grass has been mowed as well, lol…
dirt baths, bug collecting in the grass, checking out all the feeders, and drinking at the pond…
some guests who haven’t been around all summer are stopping by so I think we are getting close to migration time…
some days it is nearly impossible to focus on my book because there is so much going on;-)…

it was rather chilly yesterday morning… I wore pants, a long sleeve shirt and my spring/fall jacket for my walk;-(…
after the walk, with my daughter on the phone, I had breakfast and checked out the garden, but it was still chilly, lol…
deadheaded the datura in the front flower bed, did some reading and watched a very informative webinar on bird migration…
seemed like a busy day, lol…

this morning I was enjoying the view out of the living room window…
it is sparkling clean… my grandson did a great job…
and then, tonight I read about the problem that birds have with clean windows as they migrate…
