a very quiet day…

slow to rise and made french toast with the last of the whole wheat bread…

watched a few morning shows and then headed out to the garden…

planted the last of the flowers still in the garage and spent time reading…

have not seen a single bird today, but I did get a few nice photos…

happy with this great shot of the ferns which are growing so quickly…

the poppies are getting closer and closer to opening and I check them out every morning…

I also cut some lily of the valley for the bedroom… they have finally opened and the scent is lovely…

I now have an interesting reading plan, which depends on location……

if I am reading in the house I go into the living room and read on my tablet with Kobo… I had purchased a great number of books a few years ago and then completely forgot about them… this has proven very useful;-)…

if I am reading outside, I use paperback books… I find it too hard to read using the tablet due to the reflection…

today I just finished the last of the books that have been lent to me by friends and my next door neighbour… going back to the bookshelf to find something to reread…

had an excellent day yesterday… got a parcel in the mail… with chocolate in it…

spent time in the garden… reading in the sun, washing down a few pieces of furniture… moving chairs around for a different view… cleaning out some planters… it was lovely…

ended the day with a visit from a dear young friend… she was on the sidewalk and I was at the front door…

going to enjoy the time in the garden…

my daughter sent me a calendar wth daily yoga for April, so this morning I decided to do some… I got an old yoga mat out, arranged my phone so I could see it from the mat and started the video…

unfortunately I twisted my back in the process so I’ve had to be very careful with everything I’ve done for the rest of the day…

since the girls were little I occasionally end up with a hurt lower back… sadly, it usually takes ages to return to normal… there’s never an obvious action to cause the problem… it just means being careful about standing for too long and twisting the wrong way when sitting…

my solution today has been to quietly sit in the living room and read… so happy I found the books on Kobo…

for a good portion of the day it snowed and late in the afternoon the sun came out and it looked beautiful with everything covered in snow… especially as I didn’t have to leave the house…

as I was sitting and reading I looked out to see the most beautiful sky…

seeing this stunning view was a very special moment, which I enjoyed…

I’ve finished all the new books I had and was trying to decide if I should start rereading an old one…

I thought I could read something on my Kobo, but couldn’t remember where I put the charger, lol…

but then I decided to download the app onto the tablet which I got with my last iPhone and haven’t been using…

the bonus was that I had purchased a number of books which I hadn’t yet read… and by some of my favourite authors…

I’ve spent a good portion of the day cuddled up under a blanket in the living room reading, as the snow fell…

had a wonderful day outside yesterday…

topped up the hot tub and added chemicals to it…

found my gardening gloves and planted an avocado…

although it is still messy on the deck, I sat in the sun and read for a while…

noticed that there is actually water in the pond;-)…

Spring is really coming, yay…

another lovely quiet day…

so happy to know that my shovellers will be by whenever it snows… Saturday it was the partner who did it all with a shovel… there was a lot of snow out there…

when it wasn’t snowing or blowing it was beautiful…

last night the city plowed the street and built some good sized windrows in front of the sidewalk… they did a great job cleaning out the end of the driveway though…

I texted my shovelled and he was by within an hour to clear out the bricks of frozen snow…

think this process is going to work well for both of us… him, not having to dig it out when it has frozen back into one large clump and me, having a clear walkway for my company…

this morning I let the alarm go off and let it play the whole song as I considered that I will only need it for two more days…

I might have to get up early in the future, but not for work;-)…

usually I wake up before the alarm rings, so I don’t often have to turn it off…

two more days… hard to believe I have made it to this place… it is exciting and a bit scary…

going to start with lots of rest, relaxation, and maybe even some reading…

had a good sleep in my own bed and spent a restful day recovering from my camping trip;-)…

back to usual patterns and started my day with a fruit smoothie, thanks to the frozen fruit my grandson had picked up while he was house sitting…

lots of tv, reading and napping…

walked over and got my hair cut…

tiniest bit of purple left in it, lol…

it was a beautiful day and I enjoyed the walk… even got a few flower photos in the process… the St. James Biz have done a great job with the planters…

back home I had lunch and did more resting;-)… enjoyed time in the garden, listening to the waterfall…

cooked some pickerel for dinner…

it is always nice to come home…

blissful…

such a lovely day…

was up and in the hot tub while the moon was a crescent in the sky… then I went back to bed and slept for another three hours…

in the garden and had all the cushions out before breakfast, after mowing the grass… spent the entire morning reading and listening to the waterfall…

after lunch had a nap and went for a pedicure…

company for dinner and then spent the remainder of the evening in the garden…

blissful…
