spent time today with my tech specialist as they worked on a few problems with my main computer…

technology is always a wonderful thing when it is working and a pain in the butt when it isn’t…

took us a while, but eventually we were able to get everything on the list tended to…

some of the issues revolved around the way I enter some apps…

now I have to remember the new ways, lol… wish me luck…

on November 1st I took down the ghost from the front step… it was difficult, because the sheet had frozen into the step, lol…

then I took the poppy bird feeder that I received as a Christmas gift and tied it to the rail… this was a process, because it was cold and my fingers kept trying to stick to the metal, lol…

looks pretty good, right;-)…

yesterday, after getting the den turned into a guestroom, I put a quilt on the bed for when my Ottawa daughter arrives;-)…

today, this memory came up on my Facebook page… it was from eleven years ago when her friends came and redid my bedroom… it was a wonderful gift as shortly after that I had surgery and spent a lot of time in the bedroom…

too funny that I chose that particular quilt;-)… and a reminder of that wonderful gift…

been doing a little decorating for February…

it is Heart month and I dug out the hearts from various spots around the house and put them out…

the stairway came out quite nicely;-)…

every time I go up or down the stairs, I am reminded of my beloved…he dealt with a number of heart issues over his last few years…

he had been in good health, until a virus caused serious cardiomyopathy and later he had a quadruple bypass… all of that before he was finally taken with a heart attack… his father also died from a heart attack…

this month I will be making a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in celebration of our wonderful life together…

Friday is garbage and recycling day and I usually only take mine out every three or four weeks…

Thursdays are the day to take them out and put them into the lane… I am blessed because my neighbour snowblows behind his garage so there is a spot to put them…

I find that I only need to take one or the other out, which is good because there isn’t always room for both, lol… this time it was the garbage, and I should have shovelled the snow on the path, but didn’t;-)…

now to remember to bring it in later on Friday…

been thinking of those in my circle who are struggling… sometimes it is hard to remember that not everyone finds joy at this time of year…

holidays are often a time filled with grief and pain for many… and often it comes out of the blue…

maybe the rush to get everything done and perfect adds to the stress that then can bring on ill health or sad memories…

as one year is ending and another beginning let’s all sit in the moments and enjoy as many as we can;-)…

spent a bit of time looking for a display plate to use for Sunday’s Afternoon Tea, and came across a few small plates that I had forgotten I had…

I’ve been wishing for some smaller plates so was very happy with this find…

now to find a spot in the kitchen cupboard for these cuties…

obviously I need to have a wander through the drawers a bit more often…

yay, the new umbrella is finally up…

last night my grandson arrived with the four base pieces so we could put it together…

one of the crosspieces on the bottom didn’t fit correctly so he had to take that piece back to the store and have it replaced… happily they had one available…

back home he finished putting it all together and I think it is going to be perfect…

now I will be able to have visitors to the garden at any time of the day… really looking forward to more garden visits…

after supper I tried opening and closing it a few times before he left, lol… let us hope I can remember exactly what to do;-)…

and I did remember this morning;-)… yay…

this morning’s activities included two particular items…

I started a pot of chicken soup as I now have a cold… the aroma permeated the house throughout the day and I was very eager to eat it for supper…

it was very tasty😋…

the other, and more exciting, thing that I did was pick up my Nikon and walk around the house taking pictures of flowers and greenery… can’t even remember when I last used it…

planning to practice with the camera over the next while and see if I can’t improve my photos…

although this one is basically the same as my last camera, I am not doing near as good a job of producing great pictures…
