the moon has been doing some odd things over the last while…

three days before the full moon the moonlight was amazing… it looked as though it was a full moon and this is very odd…

I’ve caught a few interesting photos over the last few days…

this was from the 5:30 on Tuesday morning, taken without my glasses on, lol……

this one was from 7:30 this morning…

the moon is so mesmerizing;-)…

this month commemorated the twelfth anniversary of my beloved’s passing

it is always a reminder of how one’s life can change in the blink of an eye… mine certainly did at that time and again when I was diagnosed with cancer, and later diabetes…

the thing I have learned is that we can pivot and move forward, even if in a slightly different direction…

I have spent time remembering what a wonderful life we had together and how blessed I have been been and continue to be…

thinking of those who are at that pivot point in their journey…

since the girls were born, I’ve been giving them books for birthdays and holidays… I’ve done the same for my grandkids, but now we’ve worked up to gift cards as it isn’t clear what they might like to read

now I don’t really have anyone to buy books for, but I have a new neighbour who has just turned two, so I’m getting books for him now…

it is such fun to buy little people books…

on Friday a city (I think) truck came by and stopped in front of the house…

the person got out, undid something on the fire hydrant that lives in front of the cedar, and put a ten or twelve foot hose down it…

nothing happened… then they took out the hose, closed the hydrant and got back into the vehicle…

after a few minutes they drove away…

so the question is, does the hydrant work or not… kind of concerned 😟…

recently I saw something on Instagram which reminded me of our wonderful visit to Ali’i Kula Lavender on Maui…

it was a beautiful place, with nice lavender fields, but also amazing gardens filled with stunning flowers…

I found a few photos from that day…

this hand towel usually hangs in the bathroom as a lovely reminder of that wonderful day and trip…

so nice when something comes along and reminds you of special moments…

I’ve been trying to note how long I am out in the hot tub each night, so I take a screenshot of the time as I leave the house and another once I come in…

tonight I made it out to the hot tub in time to watch the Space Station fly over… I haven’t seen it for quite a while…

this time, as it came over the house it was a bright light, but about halfway across the open space above me it started to dim and then it vanished…

it has done this before and I wonder if it is rotating a bit and then doesn’t have the sun shining on it…

it always makes me happy to see it, especially on such a beautiful evening…

this morning I spent time with the flowers from March 5th…

last week I took out the carnations and today I divided the remaining mums into three containers…

one went into a glass vessel and made its way onto one of the kitchen counters…

the second container held two and went into the bathroom…

the final batch went into a purple mug on the living room table…

I also added a bunny, a glass egg, a candle, and chocolate mini eggs… Easter is coming after all;-)…

such fun to create something new from a single bouquet…

I’ve been watching Blown Away on Netflix…

it is on my housemate’s computer and as I’ve watched season one and two I’ve been walking on the spot… getting lots of steps… I am now on season three and hope to catch up to the current episodes on season four…

the show is about glass blowing and has been great fun to watch…

I have loved Dale Chihuly’s work and it is so fun to watch the participants produce their art…

so, this morning at 8:15, Ron, from Hameed Appliance Repair Inc. arrived…

forty-five minutes, and $250 later, he was gone…

in between, he fixed a foot that had come off the stove and replaced the bake element

woohoo…

at first I thought he was taking the stove’s blood pressure as he had these nifty little pads that pumped up and raised the side of the stove so he could get in to work on the foot, which fought pretty hard, but he won the battle, lol…

the element was an easy fix as he had one in his vehicle, it took minutes to replace…

we had a lovely conversation about the lifespan of older versus newer appliances and I got a card for someone they recommend for refurbished appliances… hope I don’t need that for a long time;-)…

so I think I will roast something for supper…
