Christmas came on Monday…

my BS group gathered for lunch, a visit, and gift exchange…

we had a great time;-)…

everyone chose what they wanted for lunch and a few of the group picked up the order… we gathered around the dining room table and visited as we enjoyed our meal…

back in the living room we had cookies and coffee, and then shared our goodies;-)…

I am always amazed at the wonderful items that we each find or make for one other… none of us really need anything so it is fun to produce little things to share…

and usually there are donations to favourite charities… mine, this year was to Made with Love, which is helping feed the hungry here in the city…

we usually end with a group photo… technology tried to beat me, but in the end we got a few great pictures;-)…

had some fun this morning… after going out and shovelling the droppings from the city snow plows…

been planning to colour the letters for these chocolate ornaments that I received from Happy Mail for Chocolate Lovers…

finally got around to it… sadly there was no purple in the paintbox🤪…

I am pleased with how they came out… I used some of my gifts from last year in a slightly different way and enjoyed the time…

now they are on the tree…

had a lovely visit with my neighbour…

she brought over a cute purple tray filled with delightful homemade goodies…

she makes a number of cookie trays for family and usually puts them on red trays, but had to go out and find a purple one for me😊… what a sweetie…

we usually meet for a little glass of something in the garden, lol, so it was good to get together in the house…

we snacked, chatted and had lots of laughs… and there are still some of the goodies left for me to eat and share🤭…

things are now ready to pop in the mail and the finished parcels have found their way into the living room…

a few days ago my buddy arrived with a wreath and a huge container of poinsettias…

she took the bow off the wreath, added a silver ornament, and finally made and attached a new snowflake ribbon…

then she hung it up on the front door…

it looks great and very Christmas-y… she is very talented;-)…

the main tree went up… and I even put one into the dining room…

a dear friend came over and decorated the one in the living room…

she did a great job, as always… especially since I didn’t contact her until noon once I decided that was the day, lol…

I brought up many, many, boxes of ornaments which we went through and decided on what to use this year…

once she left, I worked on the dining room tree and put most of the leftovers back downstairs…

in the morning I put up the snowflakes and put away the last bits and pieces…

I was especially happy when I found my embroidered snowflake picture…

which may have been hiding for a few years;-)…

I received a box of individually wrapped pieces of chocolate in the mail to fill my Advent calendar…

was very happy and quick to pop one into each of the twenty four squares in the box… and there are two on the last day so that I can enjoy one on Christmas Day;-)…
