today, I walked to the Park, had lunch with friends, and walked home without any pain in my knee…

it is the furthest I’ve walked in months…

the weather was cool, a bit breezy, and snow fell gently as I walked… I left in lots of time for my lunch date so I didn’t have to rush… I’m finding that as long as I don’t try to walk too quickly I am good…

and what a treat to have lunch and a visit with two wonderful women…

good to get out and move… was very happy and pleased that the sidewalks were clear and not icy/slippery…

looking forward to more pain-free walks…

been enjoying the beautiful vase that my colleagues presented to me to commemorate my retirement…

it is now living on the top of the credenza in the living room… when the light is on, it shines through the design beautifully…

when I had flowers in it, I put them into a plastic bag so they wouldn’t mess up the inside, lol…

the flowers from the Board would have gone nicely in it;-)…

recently I spent an hour with my finance guy signing what felt like a million papers… felt sorry for all the trees we destroyed…

complicated business to start collecting locked in RSP money… of course I didn’t remember to take a pic of the very large pile of papers that were taken away, lol…

these are just a few of the ones that were left for me…

good thing he understands this stuff and can explain it so well…

I will be thanking my beloved every day as the reason I am able to retire is due to his pension which came directly to me on his death…

saw the most interesting seeds on the ground as I was walking home tonight…

I think they were seeds… looking up the street portions of the sidewalk were green and I couldn’t figure out why…

when I got to those spots the cement was covered in what looked like tiny green leaves… I’ve never seen this before…

clearly it had to do with a particular type of tree, not sure what kind… did a little research but no particular tree jumped out at me…

I did read something about a response to stress causing a huge drop of seeds;-(…

I’ve been asked by a number of people to share my favourite thing about Maui…

so I’ve been thinking about it… and I can’t come up with just one thing…

over the last week I’ve printed a group of my favourite photos… and have been looking them over and remembering the particular moments each one represents…

there were so many special times… the ocean, the beaches, the rainbows, the trees, the turtles, the vegetation, the orchids, the flowers, snorkelling, the waterfalls, the food, the helicopter flight, the cacao trees, and on and on…

it really was two weeks of bliss;-)…
