recently I purchased a new set of nozzles for the hose after having looked for a long time for just the right ones…
today I used one to top up the hot tub and plunge tub…
this nozzle seems to have more pressure so the filling took way less time than previously;-)…
made me happy as it was a bit chilly out there…

spent time today with my tech specialist as they worked on a few problems with my main computer…
technology is always a wonderful thing when it is working and a pain in the butt when it isn’t…
took us a while, but eventually we were able to get everything on the list tended to…
some of the issues revolved around the way I enter some apps…
now I have to remember the new ways, lol… wish me luck…

yesterday, at 8:00 am, saw the beautiful trees across the creek with the sun shining brightly on them…
at 11:30 big beautiful snowflakes were coming down…
at 5:00 pm the sun was shining and water was running down the street…
lots of changes throughout the day…

today was Pi day, lol, so we decided to bake a frozen pizza for supper… it wasn’t cooked after the correct amount of time, nor after more time… eventually we realized that the oven wasn’t heating…
tried using the frypan, but that did not work…
so, then we ordered…
it was tasty, particularly after we’d been trying to have supper for a long time, lol…
now to figure out why the oven isn’t working…

yesterday I had a good time cleaning and organizing the upstairs hall bookshelves… I had hoped to spend time on the deck, but it was overcast and cool so instead I tackled the shelves… apparently the last time may have been in February of 2014…
it is quite a gift that I can wait until I feel like doing something to do it, lol…
and Tuesday morning I was ready to go…
found a box for the pass-me-overs and then started going through all the stuff on the shelves…
the box was mainly filled with books that seemed easy to let go…
items were rearranged and I even found a container of rocks and some small seashells…
happy with the outcome;-)…
now, I wonder how long I can keep it this way, hmmmm…

what a delightful time I had yesterday…
spent an hour and a half on the deck, reading in the glorious sunshine…
started out with a blanket and my winter jacket, but eventually put away the blanket and changed to my spring jacket… woohoo…
while I was out there I heard at least two skeins of geese fly by, although I never did see any of them, lol…
spent a few hours with my Monday buddies, read in the living room, and napped;-)…

yesterday I received a beautiful bouquet of hyacinths… I’ve never had them as cut flowers, always in soil…
what a lovely treat…
they are in a vase on the living room table and I am looking forward to them opening and scenting the house…

the weather has been quite silly lately…
there was hardly any snow on the ground last week, but then it snowed all afternoon on Wednesday…
a lot of snow came down… the only thing I shovelled then was a path to the hot tub…
very late that night my housemate shovelled the sidewalk and two-thirds of the driveway…
Friday I did about half of the bottom of the driveway as my friend would be picking me up on Saturday…
I was so proud that it only took me about fifteen minutes… and then my housemate did the same amount in five minutes…

have spent time over the last week gathering and preparing all of the information required to complete my 2023 taxes…
getting the documentation ready always reminds me of how difficult doing this work was for my beloved… he really disliked getting the bits and pieces collected…
for the last few years of his life we had others complete the paperwork, although it was still a problem to put it together…
it still surprises me how simple it is for me now… for the first few years after he died, I would gather up paper bits and courier them to my amazing accountant, who would then process everything…
then she connected me to this great technology where I was able to upload all the information and they complete and submit it all online…
it still takes a bit of work to scan, save, and upload everything, but I am getting better at it each year…
and, it is done;-)…
