as the weather is getting cooler (in what seems to be) daily, I’m enjoying some of the great benefits that Indi provides…
instead of turning up the heat, I just turn on the seat warmer… a toasty bottom makes all of me feel warm, lol…
and I love the warmer on my steering wheel… don’t need my little gloves just yet;-)…
although I wish the entire wheel was warmed…

I’ve been going to physio for the last few weeks…
my knee issue was likely caused by a hip displacement situation, as one of my friends would say, lol…
today Val put heat on my hips and ice under my knee while I was waiting to see Michael… I had a lovely relaxing time before he arrived to work on me…
after he did a few checks on my legs and hips, he showed me a few exercises to follow… unless I have further issues I do not need to go back…
watching others come and go I was reminded of how truly lucky I am… as painful as it was, my knee/hip was only an issue for a few weeks… so many are dealing with ongoing problems that will not fix themselves, ever…
I am truly blessed and happy that I can recognize that…

a few years ago my daughter introduced me to the Google maps app…
I have really found it to be helpful…
I’m a visual person and like to know where I am going, so looking up an address and then seeing a picture of the spot, or something close by is very reassuring…
I have to take back the crutches I rented from the hospital and now know exactly where I have to go… takes the stress out of finding a new place, lol…
reminded me of trying to find things in the past with a paper map… trying to unfold and refold, depending on the spot we were trying to get to… and rarely getting it put back correctly… sometimes there might have been some grumbling…
technology can be wonderful;-)…

well, my ear is doing much better… so far the meds are working with no side effects…
my technique is to take a photo of the box just before or after I use the drops so that I can remember what time I need to take them next, lol…
took the shot in a hurry this morning…

I’ve been thinking of beginnings and endings a lot lately…
a friend recently lost a loved one and it has reminded me of my own story…
the ending of my beloved’s time here was a very difficult matter to deal with…
and I think of the beginning of my new journey and how things have changed in my life…
I am slightly more independent… can even park in the garage with ease, lol… have been able to travel… so many positive changes…
everyday is a new opportunity…

today marked ten years at my current workplace… a lot has happened in those ten years and these people are part of my family…
a big deal to me… and so I had lots of fun preparing for the day…
I wrote notes, distributed flowers, and made a lovely lunch of Thai Shrimp soup along with salad, fresh bread and tarts from La Belle Baguette for dessert…
not every day you can celebrate such a milestone…
it is such fun to walk around and see flowers everywhere;-)…
my beloved would have enjoyed helping me with this special event… I truly am blessed…

last night I had dinner with a trio of special women, two of whom I just met, lol…
I had soup and five mini crab cakes with roasted garlic mayo, apple salad and mixed greens… very tasty… everyone else had scallops…
after a relaxing meal we travelled to the Cirque du Soleil tent on Kenaston to see Amaluna…
it was excellent… I’m always amazed at the flexibility of the performers and what they can make their bodies do… it was also fun to see a performance under the big top, which reminded me again of my first time at Cirque du Soleil in Montreal many years ago;-)…
a wonderful treat…

so yesterday I discovered that the issue isn’t really osteoarthritis in my knee… it is a problem with my hips…
at the physio office they discovered that one leg was longer than the other, my hips were out of alignment and my spine was twisted…
some things were done to me that were a little painful, but will help with the situation and I think my legs were back to normal length by the time I left…
now it is up to me to do some exercises and I will go back and see my guy next week…
lots of elevation, icing and heat for the next while…

so this ear looks quite normal, right…
sadly it has been irritated for the last four days and even though I started on drops yesterday morning, it has been very unhappy…
feels like my headset is on all the time and I can’t hear much out of it…
couldn’t swallow yesterday so ended up not eating…
thankfully the medicine has started to work and it is not nearly as painful as it was…
but really, enough…
