my camera fell off a table at work at the beginning of November…

the viewfinder popped off… this camera doesn’t have the old-fashioned type of viewfinder, only the electronic version…

I tried to stick it back on, but the screen remained black… can’t really take photos when you can’t see what is in the viewer… was so upset that I didn’t even get a shot of the before, lol…

called the photo store only to discover I purchased the camera last September… so, no warranty, sigh…

then I called the camera hospital and sent it over by courier so that it could get repaired before the holiday season…

it has been a long time, but this morning it returned to the office… put my memory card back in and took a few photos right away…

so happy to have it back… I enjoy my iPhone camera but have really missed this one…

I am a very happy camper today;-)…

rushed home to be here in time for my appointment with MTS… they were coming to fix the PVR and I didn’t want to be late because it hasn’t been working since last Wednesday…

my new friend Anthony fixed the main PVR in the basement and then sorted out an issue I’ve been having with the main floor tv… he had already done some work online during the afternoon to help the wifi work better… finally, he had a recommendation to make the tv picture better so I need to pick up a different cable…

this little box is the solution to my viewing problems… hurray…

and there was a parcel in the mailbox… it had a few items for other people, plus lots of chocolate for me… and a package that I get to open on the first day of Advent;-)…

great time with my boys today…

we went out for lunch, did some shopping, and emptied and refilled the hot tub in under an hour…

that was pretty amazing because usually it takes about five hours to do this… think I will use this process in the future…

found out that the PVRs are broken, which explained why neither I or the guys could get any of them working… set up an appointment for someone to come out and do a repair during the week… missing a number of shows, sigh…

finally, we added a light strip along the staircase… it is going to be a great addition to my Google Home…

much cleaner looking than the twinkle lights were;-)…

ended our time with dinner in, and then they were off to watch the Jets game at home…

exciting…

well, I did it…

sorted out all the information, and there was a lot of it… decided to take the step… and announced my retirement as of the end of the year…

excited and a bit scared… going to be a new path on the journey…

reminds me of all the years I was at home from the time the girls were born until they were in high school…

going to take some time recharging and spending time with family… more opportunities to smell the flowers, lol…

will have time to get caught up on the newest technology, woo hoo…

then thinking of doing some volunteer work around social media and proofreading;-)…

fun times ahead…

wrote more about retirement a few years ago…

just reached 350 followers on WordPress…

laughed the other day when a friend introduced me and said that I had 3000 followers… really made me giggle, lol… 300… 3000… very close;-)…

it has taken six years to reach that number…

had me thinking of the changes over that time… how the blog has gone from information on what to do when you become a widow/widower to my daily life…

my life really has been blessed… as I continue to put on those big girl pants…

been laughing off and on for days…

all of a sudden, a few days ago, it sounded like the computer was making a noise each time I received a text message or phone call on my iPhone…

it was kind of creeping me out…

a few nights ago, while I was on the phone with my daughter I heard it again and then I heard something fall…

that’s when I started laughing because I realized that it was the old Fitbit which I had put on the shelf in the hall and hadn’t disconnected…

it was vibrating and responding to each text and call and eventually vibrated right off the shelf…

found it on the stairs, lol…

interesting that today I got my flu shot… finally had the chance to check to see if the drug store across the street had the vaccine available…

all over the news tonight they have been talking about how tough and early this year’s flu season might be…

was part of a conversation about why a person might or might not get the shot…

for me, it has to do with my own health, but also with being in proximity of individuals who are immune compromised… I don’t want to cause someone else to get ill because I didn’t take preventive measures;-)…

I’ve had a Fitbit for 5 years and I really like it…

in that time I’ve probably had about three versions of them…

I’ve also had a few replaced due to various problems…

last week I sent them a photo of my Fitbit screen as it had been filled with gray lines for about a week…

they responded the same day and offered up a few suggestions as to what I might try… after I tried their ideas and nothing changed, they advised that my Fitbit was still under warranty so they sent me a replacement, which arrived yesterday…

last night I set it up and it is working perfectly…

they sure provide excellent customer service…
